Hello,
My name is Denise Richter and I am a personal development and mindset coach.
Thank you for joining me today.
In a previous meditation,
I guided listeners through intention setting for their five selves.
Intentions are statements of action,
Such as I will take care of my body or I will focus on the positive.
Today I will lead you in sets of affirmations for each of your five selves.
Affirmations are declarations of what we hold to be true.
Affirmations can help wire your brain for positivity and set the stage for creating intentions and reaching goals.
Affirmations can also improve focus and self-esteem.
For the next several minutes,
We will spend some time recognizing and affirming all the parts of yourself.
I will introduce five different aspects of yourself and we will repeat affirmations for each.
After I say each affirmation,
I will pause so that you can repeat after me either out loud or silently to yourself.
One important thing to note is that your brain must believe the affirmations you are putting out there.
For example,
If I state the affirmation,
I am strong and you feel weak,
You might need to modify the affirmation to something more believable for you.
For example,
You could say,
I am getting stronger or I have the capacity for strength.
Over time,
You will be able to work up to stronger,
Believable affirmations.
Before we start,
Settle into a comfortable position.
I recommend sitting up tall with your hands open and palms facing up,
Resting gently on your legs or in your lap.
Of course,
Whatever you find most comfortable is just perfect.
Okay,
I want you to take a few deep breaths to connect with your body,
To let go of any distractions and to get focused on this important act of self-care.
Let's begin our affirmations.
First,
I want you to think about your physical self,
The body that people see when they meet you,
The container that holds all of your vital organs,
The package that allows you to move.
Let's affirm the physical self.
I am strong.
I am healthy.
My body is capable of doing all that I wish to do.
Now,
I want you to think about your emotional self with all the beautiful and not so beautiful emotions we have as part of the human experience.
Let's say affirmations for your emotional self.
I am an emotional being.
All emotions are okay.
They make up who I am.
Emotions are essential to my experience as a human being.
Next,
Consider your intellectual self,
The mind that needs stimulation and has the capacity to create and solve and learn.
Let's affirm your intellectual self.
I am intelligent and hardworking.
My mind allows me to think critically and solve problems.
My brain is a powerful tool.
Now,
Think about your spiritual self.
Spirituality takes on many different forms,
But regardless of your belief system,
Spirituality is the ability to connect to something greater than yourself.
So let's say affirmations for your spiritual self.
I am a spiritual being.
I am connected to the universe and those around me.
I am a unique and important part of the greater whole.
Finally,
I want you to consider your relational self,
The part of you that craves connection to others and feels energized by those connections.
So let's say some affirmations for your relational self.
I am loving and lovable.
I have much to offer others.
I am worthy of relationships based on love and trust.
We will end with some final affirmations that consider all of you.
I am whole and balanced.
I am ready to tackle the day.
I am capable of making good decisions.
I am a beautiful,
Multifaceted and worthy person.
I'll give you a few moments of silence to reflect on all of the affirmations that came up today.
Which ones are sitting on your heart right now?
Which ones are easy to believe and which ones challenged you?
Take the time to repeat and reflect on important affirmations and maybe even write them down before you continue with your day.
Thank yourself for taking the time to recognize and affirm each important aspect of yourself.
For the next few breaths,
Take a moment to return to your immediate surroundings.
Slowly open your eyes,
Place both hands over your heart and take a breath in gratitude and self-love.
Thank you so much for listening.
Go forth and have a lovely day.
