Welcome.
Let's begin by settling into a comfortable position.
Let your body relax,
Your shoulders soften,
And your hands rest gently.
Allow yourself in this time to pause and be still.
You may close your eyes if you like,
Or simply lower your gaze.
Take a nice,
Deep breath in,
And exhale slowly.
Again,
Inhale,
Release.
Let your breath find its natural rhythm.
Let your attention gently settle into the present.
This practice is about noticing joy.
Not big,
Dramatic joy,
But the quiet kind that shows up in small,
Ordinary moments.
Joy that we often miss when we're rushing.
Begin by bringing to mind something small that brought you joy recently.
Maybe the way sunlight hit the floor,
A favorite song,
A warm drink,
Or someone's smile.
Let it come into your awareness.
As you recall it,
Notice how your body responds.
Does your breath change?
Do you feel warmth or lightness somewhere in the body?
Let the feeling grow gently.
You might silently say,
This was a moment of joy.
I allow myself to feel it fully.
Now imagine yourself moving through the day,
Open to noticing joy.
Not chasing it,
Just being available to it.
The softness of a towel,
The sound of laughter,
A kind glance.
Let yourself feel how it might change the shape of your day.
Joy doesn't erase difficulty.
It coexists with everything else.
Even in stress,
Even in sadness,
Joy can sneak in and you can learn to recognize it.
Let your breath carry this sense of lightness.
Inhale gently.
Exhale with ease.
Now take a few moments to rest in this space,
The space where small joys live.
Let the breath flow and let the heart soften.
As we close,
Begin to bring your attention back to the body.
Notice the points of contact,
The sounds around you,
And the rhythm of your breath.
Take one final breath in and release it.
Gently open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Let today be an experiment in noticing joy,
One small moment at a time.
Thank you so much for your practice.
