Welcome to this guided meditation that will allow you to tap into your creativity within.
Start by taking a couple of long deep breaths,
Breathing in and out through your nose,
Allowing your awareness to follow your breath as it moves in your body.
And if your eyes are not already closed,
Allow your next exhalation to softly close them.
Remember to settle into the space around you and make yourself familiar with the different sensations and sounds,
Sensing the support beneath you,
Welcoming the sounds around you,
Noticing the sounds off in the distance and the sounds that are right here with you,
The sound of your breath,
The sound of your heartbeat.
Now bring your attention back to the body as you scan down through your body,
Just as a way of checking in,
Noticing any areas of comfort and any areas of discomfort,
Perhaps noticing any particularly strong underlying mood.
And shortly reflect on your intention for this exercise,
Remembering that this intention will define the experience of the exercise.
Shift the attention to the breath now as you start to become more familiar of where in the body you feel the breath,
The nose,
Throat,
The chest and the diaphragm,
Leaning into the rhythm of that rising and falling sensation.
And as you continue to watch the breath in that way,
I want you to visualize that in the middle of your body,
In the middle of the chest,
Visualize a tiny speck of light and think of this light as your creative spark.
And it is as though as soon as you realize it's there,
As soon as you imagine it,
It begins to expand slowly outwards in every direction,
Front and back,
Either side,
Up and down.
It's as though it's a big sphere increasing outward in every direction.
And the qualities of this space,
This sphere,
Is very bright,
Very light and very spacious.
As you continue to embrace this space of brightness and light,
Watch now as it begins to expand towards the edges of the body.
Now going beyond the body and expanding out into the space around you,
Filling the room or the immediate space that you are in.
Watch as it goes even further now,
It's continuously expanding outwards in every direction.
Imagine it going out as far as the village or town or city that you're in,
Even further now,
Perhaps the entire country and further again.
Expanding over the continent,
Over the entire planet.
And now allow that space to continue expanding as far as the mind can imagine it to go.
It's as if it has no limits,
It just keeps going in every direction.
Feel how this tiny speck of light has grown to this immense,
Vast,
Almost eternal space of brightness.
And now resting this space,
Still aware of the breath as it moves in and out of that space.
The mind as vast as you can possibly imagine.
And when you allow the mind to rest in this space,
Let it be free of any expectation.
And allow the feeling of this bright,
Vast sensation fill you up with confidence,
Creativity and energy.
A sense that you can do anything you set your mind to.
Allow this space to tear down any boundaries you have set up for your creativity.
Let this space be your creativity.
Limitless,
Vast,
Fully energized.
This is where anything is possible.
Everything you ask for is available here.
Just let your mind relax into it.
Let this light fill your body,
Your soul,
Your mind and your spirit.
How beautiful you are in this creative state.
Now when you're ready,
Softly start bringing that bright light back inward.
Choosing the sounds,
Smells and any sensations on your skin.
And return your awareness to your breath.
This is why you meditate,
To create space,
To recalibrate,
To refresh ideas.
Underneath your everyday life,
There is a lovely unaffected presence.
The home of your creativity,
Your inspiration.
If you ever feel like you can't find your creativity,
Know that you can always go within.
And now just gently bring the attention back to the body,
Feeling the weight of your body,
The point of contact with the earth beneath you.
Starting to notice the sounds around you and the smells.
Be aware of the immediate space around you.
The sounds within you.
And then in your own time,
Gently open your eyes again.
Ready to get on with the day ahead of you.
