We're going to sit patiently with any of the uncomfortable sensations in your body that are rising up around food,
Eating and your body.
Taking in a nice deep inhale,
Filling the chest,
Filling the belly,
Pausing at the top and release.
Taking another deep inhale into the belly,
Feel the rib cage expand and let it go.
And one more deep inhale into the belly,
Into the chest,
Pausing at the top and letting it all go.
Starting to notice how you're feeling.
Can you notice the sensations in your body right now?
What do you feel around your abdomen,
Around your belly?
Just scanning your body.
Is there anything you can feel around your hips,
Your upper legs,
Your lower legs,
Your feet?
What can you feel around your shoulders,
Your upper arms,
Your lower arms,
Your hands?
Staying with the hands for a moment,
Just noticing every sensation that you can feel.
That light pulsation of energy moving around your hands,
Noticing it in each fingertip and across your palm.
Starting to notice the space around your hands,
Imagining a ball of energy around each of your hands.
Letting yourself feel it.
Feel the realness of this ball of energy around each one of your hands.
Keeping your attention focused here.
And now coming back to your belly,
Your chest.
Have you noticed some of the sensations you might have been feeling before have started to ease?
Just noticing the difference as you connect to your body,
As you come home to yourself.
This connection is what you're truly craving right now.
This is what you're yearning for.
Spending a moment now just reflecting on the past you who first made those decisions about food that may have led to an unhealthy relationship with food.
Having compassion for her,
Knowing that she made those decisions from a place of just trying to cope,
Trying to do it all on her own,
Trying to feel better somehow.
And she didn't have the tools that you have now.
Just taking a moment to send some kindness and compassion to your beautiful self.
Wrapping yourself up in your own arms.
Imagining embracing yourself with your own love,
Your own kindness,
Your own forgiveness.
You made the best decisions you could then and you're trying really hard now.
And that takes strength,
Bravery and a whole lot of self-love.
Just feeling proud of yourself for that now.
Letting it in,
Opening up your heart to receive it.
You've done nothing wrong.
You are on the right track.
And you've done so well to listen to this.
Something it's always here to come back to,
To ground you in those moments where you feel you may make choices that are not the best for you.
Giving yourself one last embrace and let that smile creep on your face.
Feeling good about who you are.
You're a good person.
You deserve good things to happen to you.
