Welcome to your mindful reset,
To relief from negative thinking.
If you're here,
Your mind might feel a little full,
Caught in loops of anxious thoughts,
Or pulled into patterns that don't feel supportive.
First just know there's nothing wrong with you.
The mind thinks,
That's what it does.
This practice isn't about stopping your thoughts,
It's about changing your relationship to them.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down,
And gently close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose,
And a long,
Soft exhale from the mouth.
Again,
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling from the mouth.
Let your body begin to settle.
As you sit or lie in stillness,
You might notice thoughts already moving through your mind.
That's perfectly okay.
Instead of pushing them away,
Simply observe them.
Imagine your thoughts like clouds,
Moving across the sky.
Some are light,
Some are heavier,
But all of them are passing.
You are not the clouds.
You are the observer of the clouds.
Take a moment here,
Watching,
Noticing,
Without getting pulled in.
And if you do get caught in a thought,
If you suddenly realize you've been thinking for a while,
That's not a mistake.
That's the moment of awareness.
And gently come back to your breath.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale from the mouth.
Now bring to mind one recurring thought,
Something that tends to come back.
No need to go too deep into it,
Just notice it.
And instead of believing it automatically,
See if you can gently question it.
Ask yourself,
Is this thought absolutely true?
Or is it just a pattern,
A habit of the mind?
You don't need to answer perfectly.
You're simply creating a little space.
Now imagine placing that thought on a leaf,
And letting it flow down a quiet stream.
Watching it drift further and further away.
You're not pushing it.
You're not holding on to it.
You're just allowing it to move.
And again,
Coming back to your breath.
With each inhale,
You create space.
With each exhale,
You release what you no longer need to carry.
If more thoughts come,
Repeat the process.
Notice,
Acknowledge,
And gently let go.
You might silently repeat,
I am not my thoughts.
I can observe these thoughts without holding on.
I choose gentleness with my mind.
Let these words land softly.
Now taking a slightly deeper breath in through the nose.
And a slow exhale from the mouth.
Begin to feel your body again,
Your presence,
Your grounding.
Your thoughts may still be there,
But something has shifted.
There is more space now.
More awareness.
More choice.
And that's enough.
When you're ready,
Gently bring movement back to your body.
And softly open your eyes.
Carry this inner knowing with you that you are the energy that is so much greater than those limiting thoughts.
Namaste.
