This lunar series meditation is called,
I am here,
I am being.
Let's begin with resourcing the present.
Gently scanning our bodies to locate our anchor.
When we practice locating our anchor,
We are learning our bodies,
Noticing what we feel and where we feel it,
Without judgment or in conclusion.
We are becoming aware,
Becoming aware of a point in our bodies that can ground our practice.
Maybe allow me to guide you through.
As we scan our bodies,
Remember you are in control.
Notice what brings you inward,
An anchor there throughout this practice,
When guided and when your body lets you know you should.
Here's a moment for you to decide on a comfortable position as I lead you in.
Maybe you lay down now or sit comfortably and close your eyes.
I'd like to invite you to your feet.
Gently notice,
Notice them.
Maybe bring your awareness to your toes.
Moving them around,
Just increase the awareness.
Traveling up the arch of the foot,
Meeting at the heel.
And just noticing what you feel.
And when you're ready,
Meet me at the back of your knee,
Traveling at your pace up your calf muscles,
Tracing the back of the leg and just bringing your awareness there.
What is it that you feel?
Just notice.
And when you're ready,
We'll travel up the back of the thigh,
Meeting at the hips.
Take your time.
Really trace the back of the leg.
And just noticing what it is you feel.
And slowly,
When you're ready,
We'll start tracing up our spine.
Nice and slow until we meet at our shoulders.
And just noticing what you feel.
Relaxing in,
Releasing.
And then traveling up our neck when you're ready,
We meet at the back of our head.
And just noticing what we feel.
Relaxing in,
Even deeper.
Moving forward now into the ears.
Maybe paying attention to the sounds that we can hear.
Gently allow me to introduce an alternative.
And just leaning in to what you hear.
Notice how it makes you feel.
And when you're ready,
Travel back down your neck,
Back into the shoulders.
And take your time,
Tracing your arm down to your wrist.
Maybe move them a little to increase awareness.
Move into your fingers and your hand.
And notice them.
I'd like to invite you to place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly.
Just noticing the natural rhythm of your breath.
Bringing your attention to the heartbeat,
If you can find it.
And now maybe into the rise and fall of the belly.
Good.
How does that feel?
Let's just be here for a moment.
As you intend to be here in this moment,
Notice where you are resourcing it.
What is holding your body's attention?
What returns your attention to this moment?
Just lean in and anchor there as I invite your attention to these words.
Gratitude brings us back to the present moment.
Our attention is guided back to the now.
The present has no relative compare beyond the previous moment that has just left,
Just as the next emerges.
Gratitude is a being practice.
A moment we take to just be.
Just being here in this life we are witnessing.
Coming back to the now,
We remember.
We remember just how complete everything already is.
The past isn't necessary right now.
The future isn't necessary right now.
Gratitude says it is.
Sometimes it is yours.
Sometimes it is for you.
Sometimes it is all you have.
To be absent of it would make this very moment without.
A space left from something once valued but presently vacant.
Gratitude is an avenue to our happiness.
Our joy.
If we waited until the destination to be happy,
Until what we seek became present,
That means joy only happens in the small moments of our arrival and contentment.
Joy is only present once we arrive.
And if we are content once we get there.
Equally,
It would mean that joy can only last until we begin to seek again.
And we must seek again.
Our joy becomes limited.
Almost restricted and withheld from our lives.
Unless we reach the moments we seek.
What if all we end up with is to journey there?
If joy could be present now and later,
Would you choose to wait?
Or would you take both opportunities?
Imagine this.
Everything that is now is the seed to what you desire to be.
Without the first step,
You can't take the seven.
Without the cause,
You can't receive the effect.
Without the seed,
You can't grow the harvest.
It is because now exists that later will.
It is because now exists that later can.
Say thank you.
Say thank you.
The actionable thank you to all that is now while seeking all that will be.
All you have is directly connected to all you desire.
I'd like to guide you back to your anchor now.
Anchor in while I leave you with these words.
Mantra.
I am here.
I am present.
And considering it all,
I am grateful.
I am here.
I am present.
And considering it all,
I am grateful.
I am here.
I am present.
And considering it all,
I am grateful.
My sacred friend,
You are a source of beaming light supported by what's all around you.
The good,
The joy,
The bad,
And the difficult.
You and your subordinate experiences are receiving support even when it's just enough to keep going.
In all compassion and in deep gratitude,
Express thanks to it all.
Look how far you have come.
Look how far you've been allowed to go.
Give thanks by continuing forward,
Trying without defeat and after every trip and failure.
Give thanks by resting in the now,
In sacred stillness,
Silence,
Presence.
Give thanks.
