Hello astral travellers,
Get your bow and arrow ready because this meditation focuses on the target technique.
This method was invented by author Edward Peach,
A.
K.
A.
Orfeo,
Who called it the Little System.
Later,
It was refined by several other authors.
The idea is to exit the body by using an expanded state of consciousness,
Active imagination,
And where relevant,
Memory.
In order to astral project to a specific location.
We may have been to this place before,
Or it might be somewhere completely new.
Either way.
The goal is to gain insight or information.
We apply the target technique when we are deep in the mind awake,
Body asleep state,
Making it easier for us to tune into the astral body and travel to the location.
If you haven't already.
Get yourself comfy.
Ready to relax.
And follow this guided audio.
See you on the other side.
Take a moment to connect with your breath.
Notice in the air passing through the nose or mouth.
The rise and fall of the chest and the expansion and contraction of the belly.
Allow each in-breath to fill you with a sense of ease and each out-breath to release any tension or worries,
Letting out all the stresses of the day.
As you breathe,
Bring your attention to your belly.
And like a balloon,
Fill it all the way up.
And release all the way out.
Do some of these big belly breaths for a few moments.
Let your breath return to its natural pace now,
And as you do,
You notice that inside you,
Just above the belly button,
There is a lovely warm energy.
It reminds you of sunshine.
Its gentle glow begins to soothe and relax the core of your being.
Feel its loving warmth radiate out into every cell,
Like the first light of dawn.
With each breath,
Let this light expand,
Radiating into your entire stomach and chest with its nourishing energy.
As the light grows brighter within you,
Imagine it branching out into different limbs,
Melting away any tension or discomfort that it encounters.
The light flows into your hips and legs,
Filling you with a sense of deep calm and relaxation.
Feel it wrapping around your joints,
Nurturing them with its warming energy.
Feel it reaching into your arms and shoulders,
Easing any stiffness or tightness there.
The gentle warmth enveloping your muscles,
Inviting them to soften and release with each passing moment.
You as the light continues to expand.
Imagine it travelling up into your neck and head.
Soothing away any lingering tension or worry.
Feel it cradling your mind like a soft comforting pillow.
Guiding you into a state of peace and serenity.
As you lie here,
Basking in this glorious light.
Allow yourself to become fully immersed in its comforting embrace.
Notice how each heartbeat becomes more steady,
How each breath becomes easier and easier.
I invite you to fully surrender to the safety that the light offers.
Imagine it forming a protective cocoon around you.
Feel its supportive energy providing a sanctuary of pure calmness.
As you rest here in this cozy cocoon,
Allow yourself to let go completely.
Trusting in the power of the light's luminosity.
You are safe,
Supported and divinely cared for.
Knowing this,
Allow your whole being to rest deeply.
Just resting here,
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
Give yourself permission to just be.
Being here.
Drifting in our own time into the mind awake,
Body asleep state.
With each out breath,
Drop deeper and deeper into a wider awareness.
Leaving behind any remaining bodily sensations,
Becoming more and more relaxed.
Notice how at ease you feel and how good it is to be this calm.
Your mind awake,
Your body resting,
Sliding slowly into a deep sleep.
Knowing you can come back at any time you wish,
Choose to enter a wider state of consciousness.
Remembering you're always safe and always supported.
Sinking slowly into a soft awareness.
If you find yourself in the past or future,
Just come back to the present moment.
Here and now.
Any distractions simply dissolve away,
As well as our attachment and connection to them.
Feel these things fade into the distance.
Decide to let go.
It feels wonderful to just let.
Go.
Although you're deeply relaxed.
And maybe quite drowsy.
I invite you to stay fully aware.
And if your mind drifts off,
Just anchor it to anything you can see or sense in your awareness.
What can you see?
What can you hear?
What can you feel?
You might like to observe this space for a couple of minutes.
Paying attention to any imagery that may appear,
Sounds you might hear or feelings you might have.
No need to judge or interpret what happens,
Just noticing.
If we notice nothing,
That's okay too.
Be aware.
Of where you are.
Notice where you are.
What do you see?
And if you see nothing,
That's okay.
Feel into the place.
What do you sense?
Can you hear anything?
Is there an atmosphere?
An energy to it.
Focus all your senses on this place.
And if you perceive nothing.
Imagine you're really there.
See what enters your awareness.
Where do you find yourself within this location?
What do you notice close by?
What do you notice far away?
If you are moving through your location.
Pay attention to things as you pass by.
Let's pause for a moment.
Maybe you're here for a reason.
If you came to seek something.
Know that it will come to you in the right moment.
Trust your intuition.
With this in mind.
Explore this place for a while.
