Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
For a while,
You simply rest in the void.
No vision or sensation,
Merely darkness and fleeting thought.
But as you patiently wait,
Life slowly begins to emerge at the edges.
At first it's just a flash,
A face moving from left to right,
But then a burst of action,
A large crowd of people walking in perfect unison down a high street.
Eventually,
The dream is activated in totality,
And you're sucked right in and plonked down,
Abruptly on your knees.
You stand up and look around.
You're somewhere else,
That's for sure.
For a moment,
You feel confused,
But then you remember what just happened and where you are.
You are,
Of course,
Lucid dreaming,
And this new place is your own mind,
Writ large.
You get to exploring.
As you explore,
You encounter a beautiful woman with shiny skin.
Her eyes call you over,
And you do not resist the call,
Falling into her orbit,
Eagerly and with total abandon.
Glad you're here,
She says.
I want to show you around.
And with that,
Her shiny skin somehow becomes shinier,
Intricate patterns of light now dancing across it like a living canvas.
You mull over,
Whether or not,
To follow her lead.
Intrigued,
You decide to follow,
And as you do,
The scene abruptly shifts,
Transporting you to another world entirely,
A desert world.
The woman with the shiny skin explains that you're somewhere else now,
A new area of your brain,
And that you have a task ahead.
We're carving out new pathways,
She says,
Your vision suddenly flooded with sparks.
From there,
You traverse the vast expanse of the desert world,
Encountering surreal phenomena like floating cities and sentient sandstorms as you go.
And this goes on,
On and on and on,
Until eventually,
You start wondering if there's really anything more to see.
But of course,
There is,
There's always more to see.
The dream character snaps her fingers and takes you to a new world,
The scene transitioning seamlessly.
Hmm,
Whatever next,
You wonder,
Simultaneously bewildered and fascinated.
On the next planet,
You dive into a sparkling ocean and swim alongside bioluminescent creatures that paint the dark waters with bursts of light.
And then you soar through the skies of a huge gas giant,
Riding on the backs of dragons.
All the while,
Your newfound friend,
The other worldly dream character with the shiny skin,
Remains by your side,
Reminding you of your mission.
Upon awakening,
You'll be born anew.
Throughout your adventure together,
The beautiful woman periodically stops you,
To regale you with stories of her own home planet,
A place she claims that dreams are born.
Every time she does this,
You gaze at her in awe,
Listening keenly.
By the end of all this,
She says,
You'll see my world as your own.
And then you follow her,
Once more.
But then,
The world around you begins to crumble,
As if signalling the end of the dream.
You feel a pang of sadness.
You're not ready to leave this place behind.
And besides the dream character,
She hasn't shown you her home planet yet,
Like she promised her.
Don't worry,
She says,
Assuaging your concerns.
I've extended it.
We'll be here a while yet.
And just like that,
The scene reassembles itself,
Turning back to life,
For one more go around.
Once more,
The dream character with the shiny skin,
The one that remains nameless,
Stops and regales you with a story of her home planet.
Just take me there,
Please,
You say.
Very well,
She relents,
Clicking her fingers and making one last jump across the vast chasm of your subconscious mind.
For a moment,
All you see is a blur.
You have arrived,
Bathing in the ethereal glow of starlight.
I hope my world won't disappoint,
She says,
Beckoning you forward one last time.
You take in a deep breath that feels infused with an icy tinge.
I need to show you something.
Something.
.
.
Important.
And so,
As the dream now approaches its inevitable end,
The dream character takes you deep into a cave to show you the thing that needs to be seen.
I hope you understand,
She says,
But alas,
You don't.
You feel lost.
Where am I going,
You wonder.
Who is this person I've been following all this time?
And the further into the cave you go,
The more these questions rise up.
Until finally,
You reach a dead end.
With a chest.
And she stops in front of the chest.
And so do you.
And she opens it.
And inside is an item you recognize,
From your own waking life.
One you haven't seen in years.
Upon awakening,
Please find this item,
She says mysteriously,
The dream beginning to break down.
Whatever it takes,
You really must.
Do not take my words lightly.
And with that,
As quickly as she came,
She went.
Leaving in her wake,
A chill.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it.
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown.
Your mind has been primed.
And you are ready for sleep.
And so with that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Never forget it.
Happy dreaming.
