Hello and welcome to this meditation on self love.
I invite you to take a comfortable seat and close down the eyes and begin to connect with your breath.
Just observe your breath flowing in through your nostrils as it fills up your lungs and exhaling out the mouth at a pace and a tempo that suits you,
That feels natural.
Now this meditation today is about loving yourself.
Because we grow up in this society,
A lot of us not learning how to simply love ourselves.
Sometimes it feels like it's a shameful thing to love yourself,
Especially out loud.
So I'm inviting you to take your power back in this meditation and gently,
Truthfully look within and give yourself that nurturing hug and that reassurance that you are loved by you.
And that's where all love starts.
We are actually love.
Our very self sitting here right now,
We are the love that we're looking for.
So connect with that breath,
Just start to calm down,
Letting go of the day that has been.
Breathing in through the nose and letting go out the mouth.
We're going to breathe in love,
All the love that is surrounding us.
Breathe it in through the nose,
Let it fill up your body right to your heart and watch it flood all over your physical body and then let it go.
Remembering that the letting go is just as important as filling up,
Whether it be the physical breath or attaining anything.
We bring it in and let it go.
The practice of letting go is so important.
Letting go anything to then allow a space to form for the new.
Inhale that sweet love,
Inhale and let it go.
Love is all around you.
Love is nature.
Love is a truth,
An absolute truth.
Love is creation.
Love doesn't have to be forced.
Bringing in that love in through the nose and letting go.
We are now going to focus on the physical body and what we are grateful for and send love to those places to remind us of the love that we have for our physical body.
Starting with your brain,
Something that we don't see with our own eyes but we know it's there.
It helps us survive and get through every day,
Work out things,
Problems,
Issues but let's send gratitude to our brain.
Let's breathe in that gratitude and then exhale,
Grateful for the brain.
Now focusing on the eyes,
Breathing in that gratitude,
Focusing on the eyes and exhale,
Giving love to those eyes for being able to see,
For being able to rest,
For being able to show the windows to your soul.
Let me bring us to our nose,
Sending love to that beautiful nose of yours to be able to smell the senses of the world,
To be able to breathe,
To give you your actual life force,
Your prana to nourish that beautiful body.
Gratitude,
Inhale and exhale,
Gratitude for the nose.
I love my nose.
And we come to the mouth,
Inhaling gratitude for the mouth,
A place where we put our food,
Where we breathe,
A place of nourishment,
A place of expression,
The tongue,
We taste,
We taste life,
Sending so much love to the mouth,
Our communication,
Our love that we give a partner,
The love that we share with a baby,
And we kiss its forehead,
Sending love to the mouth,
Inhaling gratitude and exhaling.
And we come to the throat,
Giving love to your throat,
That extension from your shoulders to your brain,
Holding up that beautiful head of yours,
Breathing in love to the neck,
Connecting our air,
Connecting our food,
Nourishment to the body,
Sending so much love to the neck,
And to the heart,
That beautiful organ that beats,
It just turns on miraculously in your mother's womb and starts beating the blood through your body,
Gratitude,
Sending self-love to your heart.
The heart beats,
The heart resonates with others,
They say the heart can see the future,
Can sense the future,
So many powers of the heart,
It's our love center.
It radiates so beautifully from the heart,
Inhaling that gratitude and love for the heart,
And letting go,
Thank you,
Thank you.
In our belly,
Love,
Love to your belly,
For where it processes your nutrients,
In the belly lies so many juices of happiness,
If we look after our belly,
If we look after our gut,
Through our food and nourishment,
Then we look after our mental well-being,
Sending so much love to the belly,
Our core,
The place where we project ourselves from into the universe,
Sending love to your belly,
However your belly looks,
Sending love to your belly,
Inhale gratitude and exhaling love.
And we move down to our genitals,
Sending so much love to our genitals,
Where we create new life,
Where we pleasure,
Where we receive pleasure,
The center of love,
How fantastic to have working beautiful genitals,
Inhaling love into the body,
Into the genitals,
And gratitude,
Exhaling thank you,
Thank you.
And we move over to our arms,
These beautiful,
Beautiful things that hang off our body,
That allow us to feel and reach and hold another human.
And they allow us to create,
Use tools,
Feel things,
Massage,
Giving love to our hands and our arms,
Breathing in that gratitude,
Gratitude for the arms and the hands,
All the way to the fingertips and letting go,
Thank you,
Thank you.
And we move down to our legs,
These beautiful pillars that we walk upon this earth,
Step by step,
Holding our whole body up,
Amazingly allowing us to balance perfectly,
So much love,
Giving so much love to our legs,
Our kneecaps,
Our shins,
All the way down to the tips of our toes,
Envision yourself feeling the earth with your feet,
Gratitude for every step you have taken and every step you will take,
Sending so much love to our feet,
Our hands,
Inhale gratitude and exhale thank you,
Thank you.
And we move back up to the face,
Sending so much love to that beautiful face that greets other human beings,
That loves animals,
That loves this world,
That's a beautiful face,
Love your face,
An idea to smile right now,
As big as you can as you think about loving that beautiful face that you've been given,
Inhale gratitude and exhale thank you,
Thank you for this gift and coming back to the breath,
Inhaling in through the nose and out the mouth,
Inhaling gratitude and love and exhaling thank you,
And visualizing the whole body,
Your whole beautiful loved body,
Inhaling gratitude and love for that whole body,
From the ends of the tips of your hair follicles all the way down to the tips of your toes,
Inhaling love,
Love for that body,
That beautiful working body and exhaling thank you,
Thank you for looking after my soul,
My spirit,
My consciousness,
Thank you to this beautiful vessel for allowing me to walk upon this earth,
For allowing me to greet other beings,
For allowing me to hug,
To love and be loved,
I am love,
I am worthy,
I am beautiful,
I am love,
I am worthy,
I am beautiful,
I am love,
I am worthy,
I am beautiful,
I invite you to keep breathing in through the nose and out the mouth and use this practice anytime that you forget to love yourself and remember to practice the mantra,
I am love,
I am worthy,
I am beautiful.
