Self-love is a journey marked by inevitable stumbles, where triggers can resurface old feelings of "not enough." Inspired by the book "Let Them" by Mel Robbins, this meditation introduces her two step theory containing two powerful steps designed to help you transcend these moments, step back into our own power, and once and for all escape the destructive cycle of comparison. Hello and welcome to today's meditation.

I am so grateful you are here.

I recently listened to the book Let Them by Mel Robbins.

It really left me feeling empowered and inspired,

Especially the chapter on comparison.

I know at one point or another each one of us has felt not good enough.

Mel's Let Them theory is a powerful way for us to escape the comparison trap.

It consists of two parts.

First is Let Them.

Let Them is about releasing control and releasing ourselves from feeling that we need to compare ourselves to anyone or anything.

But even more importantly,

I've found that the second part is even more powerful in allowing us to let go of comparison.

And that is Let Me.

Let Me is about our choice.

It's about our step that we can take to let go of feeling unworthy,

To let go of the comparison trap once and for all,

And to step fully back into our power so that we can then move forward and take divinely inspired guided action steps toward our own dreams and goals that we are worthy of.

So,

I invite you to get comfortable.

Take a moment.

Find a comfortable seat or even maybe lie down.

And when you're ready,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Place your hands over your heartbeat.

And begin to notice your breath moving in and moving out of the body.

Relax your shoulders.

Relax your face.

Soften the eyebrows.

Allow yourself to deepen the inhale,

Filling up the belly,

Feeling the ribs expand.

And allow the exhale to slowly drift out of the nose as you let go of any tension that may be left in the body.

Breathing into your heart space,

Feel your heart center expand.

As you exhale,

Feel yourself dropping even deeper,

Letting go of your day,

Coming fully into this present moment.

And as you breathe in,

Maybe in your mind you can remember a time where you fell into the comparison trap.

You felt triggered.

Maybe you saw someone doing something that you have only dreamed of.

Maybe it left you feeling not capable of achieving your own dreams,

Your own goals.

Maybe this moment happened recently.

Maybe it happened a long time ago and still lingers.

As you remember this moment of feeling unworthy,

Take a deep breath in and a big breath out.

As you let go of that feeling of unworthiness,

Continue breathing.

And allow yourself to repeat these affirmations either silently or out loud.

Let them succeed.

Let me be happy for them.

Let them grow.

Let me feel inspired.

Let them achieve their goal.

Let me find clarity.

Let them build.

Let me begin.

Let them be disciplined.

Let me commit.

Let them change their life.

Let me see what's possible.

Let them shine brightly.

Let me remember that I am limitless.

Let them take a chance.

Let me keep my heart open.

Let them be in love.

Let me remember that I am worthy.

Take a deep breath into your heartbeat.

Feel your heart space expand even wider,

Even greater.

And on your exhale,

Release that old story that may have lingered.

Release once and for all that feeling of not good enough.

As you remember that you are breathing in and breathing out.

As you visualize yourself moving forward with that dream,

With that goal,

With that wish.

Knowing and fully embodying your worthiness,

Your capability,

And embodying the self-love that will move you forward into living the life of your dreams.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and a deep exhale.

Put a gentle smile on your face as you slowly open your eyes.

Great meditation. And am reading ‘Let Them’ currently (and for a reason) so the message resonated.
