Cinnamon is a spice that is very much beloved by people all over the world.
When I think of cinnamon it makes me think about my grandmother,
My childhood,
Christmas time and all kinds of good things.
In the Christmas markets you can feel the scent of cinnamon coming from the fresh cookies and the almond nuts which are covered with delicious cinnamon.
We have cinnamon in our witch's kitchen.
You can taste it and use it in cooking.
There are sticks of cinnamon and cinnamon powder.
Cinnamon has magical properties and we can use it in so many ways.
The Latin name of cinnamon is cinnamomum and it is spice that is made from the bark of the cinnamon tree.
Cinnamon tree grows in the southern hemisphere of India,
Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
We can also find it from some South American countries and West Indies.
And like so many spices cinnamon arrived to Europe in the Middle Ages.
The cinnamon tree is a laurel tree.
They are aromatic and the sense of the cinnamon tree has drawn people towards it for years.
Cinnamon is mostly used for cooking and baking and it can also be found as aromatic oil.
The earliest mentions of cinnamon come from the ancient Egypt.
This spice was holy.
It was buried into the grace of the Pharaohs.
A spice of the gods and goddesses.
Egyptian priests used cinnamon in the mummification process which created a connection between the world of the divine and the living.
It is often associated with autumn and winter time.
We can find it in several dishes and foods,
Oil blends and even Christmas decorations during the holidays.
We can find cinnamon sticks blend together with slices of orange and evergreen garlands and wreaths.
Cinnamon is a powerful spice and connected to goddesses such as Bastet and Aphrodite.
Cinnamon's magical properties are protection,
Love,
Strength,
Money,
Divination,
Amplification and the connection with the spirit world.
Cinnamon has medical properties.
Its antioxidants reduce blood sugar and aid the body's insulin production and decrease the risk of heart disease.
Here are some ideas how you can implement the power of cinnamon.
Sprinkle cinnamon on your morning coffee or tea and visualize your intention.
Love,
Protection,
Strength,
Vitality for the day.
Add cinnamon chips to herbal tea.
You may add cinnamon to your smoothie in the same manner that you would with your coffee or tea.
Cinnamon has great deal of potential on several levels.
It is a common spice used in divination rituals by witches,
Mediums and magical practitioners.
One method of divination would be to softly breathe cinnamon over the table or the area you will be utilizing.
You can even burn a cinnamon candle throughout a reading.
Take a small handful of cinnamon and blow it through your front door on the first of every month to encourage prosperity and the flow in the home.
