Hi and welcome to this flow that will let you experience a refreshing journey in the enchanted valley of your mind.
You can now take a moment to find a comfortable position and take a slow deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
You can close your eyes and feel a wave of relaxation move from the tip of your toes to the top of your head,
Clearing your mind and preparing to enjoy this experience.
The big red mountains you see not far from your vantage point up here are hiding at their base the special place we will be visiting during this journey.
For now,
Enjoy this beautiful view of the mountains close by standing out against the blue sky and the ones in the distance.
Notice how a few white clouds are offering you a sense of depth as they slowly move,
Pushed by the delicate breeze that you start feeling on your face and is giving you relief from the dry heat of this beautiful summer day.
And after a moment,
The sun rays cuddle you again in their gentle hug.
Holding the image of this stunning landscape,
You are now taking the steep downwards trail in front of you,
Pointing in the direction of the big red mountains.
The path is not too narrow to be dangerous,
But you take your time balancing your weight to avoid gaining too much speed.
You still want to enjoy the stunning view and be fascinated by how everything changes as you descend.
As your field of vision progressively shrinks because of the descent,
You notice that it surprisingly allows you to see more details that you had not noticed before.
With less sunlight filling your eyes,
You can now better distinguish and appreciate all the shades of red of the mountains' rocks.
You also start getting a different perspective of the mountains,
Now that you have been moving down towards where they merge with the plains at their base.
Circling around them,
You can now notice that the big mountains you saw from up top were only the first layer closer to you.
From your current position on their side,
You can now see the other mountains they were hiding behind them,
And the secret canyon lying between them became now visible to you for the first time on your left.
The path in front of you seems to anticipate your curiosity by bending 90 degrees for you to proceed in the direction of the canyon.
As you proceed after the turn,
You think of how this small change of perspective is allowing you to see the mountains in a completely different way.
You start noticing patterns and shapes that keep becoming more and more evident as you focus on them.
You notice how the huge rocks are bigger at the top,
They look heavy and immobile.
But as your sight starts exploring them on the way down,
You see several spots where they break down into smaller pieces.
You wonder how that happens,
Since everything looks so perfectly still while you are observing it.
Maybe when you are not around,
The wind,
The rain,
Or the earth shaking breaks parts of those giants into smaller pieces.
And as your eyes follow your thoughts down the mountain,
You realize that the more you look down,
The smaller the rocks become,
To the point that those massive rocks of the past might now have become just the red powder covering your trail,
The red sand you have been stepping on,
One step after the other,
Since the beginning of your journey.
And this realization makes you feel more powerful and enthusiastic to explore more of this place full of revelations.
While you keep looking at the rock walls,
Which now take a good part of the horizon on both sides of your path,
You see more evidence of the changes that happened here.
Rocks that were so hard and spiky were softened and smoothed by the constant caress of the wind blowing in the canyon.
You find it surprising that those colossal rocks could be reshaped so deeply by the smallest particles in the wind,
Had it blown for long enough.
Some areas of the walls are even missing altogether.
Giant holes formed by the water that was trapped in there long,
Long time ago,
Left space to these giant windows when it was finally set free by the time passing by,
Offering you the option to look through and get a peek of the sky or let your imagination fill them with what you think they might have looked like before.
As you get closer to the canyon,
The tall walls of red rock give you protection from the direct sunlight and you are grateful for such a refreshing sensation.
You are now crossing the imaginary line that demarks the entrance of the canyon and the thought puts a smile on your face.
You notice that no matter how harsh the territory and its lack of water,
So many plants were able to find their place up the walls in the most improbable cracks between the rocks.
This creates a spectacle of colors ranging from the reds and oranges of the rocks,
The blue shades of the sky and the green of the vegetation becoming less sparse and more luxuriant as it got closer to the bottom of the valley.
That is where you spot it for the first time.
Anticipated by the relaxing sound of the clear water flowing in it,
The creek is partially hidden in the vegetation and as you progress on the opposite direction of its flow,
It becomes more visible from time to time,
As if it was coming to take a peek of your journey,
Whispering good wishes with the comforting sound of its low waterfalls.
It's incredible to think that such a shallow little creek is giving so much life to all the plants,
The grass and the trees that you can see filling this enchanted valley.
And as if the trees just heard your thoughts,
They started to move their leaves and branches in the wind,
Each one emitting a very unique sound,
But each of them contributing to the calming melody that resulted from this green improvised orchestra,
In tune with each other as if they were exchanging thoughts and ideas carried by the wind.
They are not the only ones welcoming you,
Though.
For a while now,
You have been noticing little animals jumping off the path when they see you coming.
At the beginning of the trail,
You just heard the sound they made as they were disappearing in the grass.
But now that you are more in tune with this magical place,
They seem to accept your presence.
Some of them even stop after a couple of jumps and look back at you with a mix of respect and curiosity before disappearing from your sight.
You wonder if they still watch you from their hidden spots as you pass by,
And if given more time,
They would trust you enough to get closer to you.
Maybe if you take it slow,
They will see and appreciate your good intentions.
A fork in the path now became visible and is offering you a choice.
The first path turns left towards what seems like a hidden canyon branching from the main valley.
A second one is a U-turn that will bring you back from where you came from,
Only on the other side of the creek.
Your curiosity brings you towards the opening in the giant rock wall where your path seems to disappear.
The trail is a little irregular here,
And you hope that what's at the end of it will be worth the trip.
The canyon is narrow.
In front of you,
There is only enough space for your path and a smaller creek flowing on its left side.
With the water and the green vegetation,
This place seems a smaller precious version of the main valley,
Saved only for the eyes of the ones willing to put a little more effort to explore it.
The ones like you.
Soon enough,
You get used to the new environment and circling the big stones on your path becomes second nature.
Sometimes you need to gently move away some branches of the vegetation that shares this space with you,
But you do so effortlessly,
Keeping your eyes on the path.
This part is different from the main valley in that you cannot really see where you will end up.
You can only sense it and enjoy the journey towards it.
The path sometimes gets so close to the creek that it almost merges into it,
And the sand under your feet is so much thinner and softer in those spots.
You start wondering if you have gone far enough and maybe this path does not bring anywhere specific,
But a little voice inside of you just keeps saying,
Don't worry about it,
Just keep going.
After a couple more ups and downs of the path,
The scenery seems to change.
The walls of the narrow canyon seem to be farther apart,
As if they were relaxing and stretching.
This allows enough space for the tall big trees in front of you to thrive and reach for the sky,
Offering you some well-deserved shade and stable level soil to rest your feet on.
You look around,
Amused by how quickly the habitat opened up.
You can see a whole new variety of plants,
Birds and butterflies that you've never seen before.
And as you look up between the trees,
You see up high on one of the rock walls the astounding formation that was worth all of your journey.
The massive arch of red rock sticking out from the main mountain seems to have found its place on purpose at the junction of two valleys,
As if it wanted to be able to look at both from its vantage point,
Indecisive of which one was the prettiest.
As you look at it in awe,
You appreciate its massive silhouette,
How its symmetry is the very power allowing for its existence.
Stretch wide,
Solid and bound to two far pinnacles of the mountain,
Like an elegant neck would bridge the heart and the mind in a delicate yet robust balance.
You now want to get a better view of it without the trees in between.
Full of excitement,
You start looking around and you notice a few paths that seem to climb up the steep side of this valley that might give you the best shot at seeing the arch.
You decide to take the second trail on the left,
And despite its steepness,
You feel your legs are propelling you upwards with almost no effort,
Helped by your excitement and curiosity.
Going up,
The trail is almost vertical,
But you continue climbing,
Looking at the bright sky that opens above you.
The platform of smooth stones in front of you tells you that you reached your goal.
There are no trees on the stones.
The view of the wall with the arch is perfect up here.
To see the arch in its fullness,
You find a special niche in the stone wall,
Probably carved by the wind,
And you lie down in it.
As your back finally rests on the comfortable stone,
Your view is perfect.
The shade from the wall allows you to keep your eyes wide open and take in all of the colorful scenery.
The sky with slowly moving clouds,
The giant rock walls,
The arch,
And everything is perfect now.
In this blissful state,
Your mind offers to you a situation from your life where you need to find some balance,
Just like the arch did,
And as you look at its improbable equilibrium,
You feel confident now that you will find it too.
Whether you were pushing too hard or not hard enough,
You know you will find the right balance.
The arch did not come into existence overnight,
Took a long time to strike the perfect alignment,
The right amount of weight to one side or the other.
But eventually,
That solid giant found its spot,
Able to look at both valleys from up there for itself,
And to infuse the courage to the ones passing by that it was indeed possible for them to do it too.
Those ones passing by,
Though,
Are only the explorers,
Curious and courageous enough to venture out from the main trail,
Like you did.
I will give you a moment of silence now to enjoy this spot and let it bring to you all you need to reflect on,
To feel better,
Be healthier,
And happier in your life.
I will be back in a couple of moments to guide you back to the main path.
Enjoy the nature for now.
.
.
The peaceful sounds of nature have a relaxing and refreshing effect as they flow through your body,
Leaving it clean as the fresh water of the creek sparkling in the sunlight after being filtered by the rocks and soil on the long journey that brought it here.
Its course will guide you out of the valley.
The water flowing reminds you of how refreshed you feel.
The beautiful colors of the scenery make you feel replenished with energy and ready for anything you will do after leaving this enchanted place.
Knowing you can come back anytime when you need to relax or disconnect from everything else,
Back on the trail where it bends to bring you back,
You take a last look back at the valley,
Taking in all you have enjoyed and learned.
And with your heart and mind filled with positive and creative thoughts,
The trail uphill does not seem as deep anymore.
And I will let you move your next steps at your own pace before you get back to where you started,
Ready to get back to reality with a whole new perspective,
Slowly opening your eyes and stretching when you're ready.
I wish you all the best and I will be here whenever you need to go back to the valley.
Have a wonderful time.
