This somatic grounding meditation supports the body in settling after emotional or relational intensity. Through breath and gentle presence, excess activation is released and the system is guided back into ease and containment.

Begin by noticing where your body,

Whether you're seated or lying,

The points where your body meets the surface beneath you.

Notice both the weight of your form as well as the support that is already present.

Take a slow breath in through the nose and a steady exhale out through the mouth.

This meditation is for after intensity,

After emotional exchange or after a relational engagement or after taking on holding more than usual.

There's no need to revisit what occurred.

We're simply bringing awareness to the breath.

Taking a slow inhale in through the nose and a steady exhale out through the mouth.

And then gently bring your awareness to your physical body and also bring your awareness to your energetic field.

And just imagine if there's any excess emotional energy,

Whether it's yours or other,

Anything excess is just beginning to settle downward,

Draining gently through the body into the earth.

Slow inhale through the nose,

Steady exhale out through the mouth.

And just imagining,

Visualizing,

Experiencing anything that's excess or heightened or intense is just softening and moving down through the body,

Down through the field,

Being released out through the bottom of your aura into the soil beneath you.

And feel the containment of simply being here now,

Being with yourself here and now.

And as you simply focus on the breath,

Easy,

Slow breath in through the nose,

Steady exhale out through the mouth.

Allow your body to release if it wants to,

Maybe to sigh or to soften,

Or maybe just simply to grow still.

Whatever is happening,

Just simply let it.

Slow breath in through the nose,

Steady exhale out through the mouth.

And just inviting and noticing that any intensity is draining down through your body,

Down through your field and being released through your aura down into the soil,

Into the earth beneath you.

And rest here for several more breaths,

Allowing the system to complete its cycle of presence and release.

Slow breath in through the nose,

Steady exhale out through the mouth.

All the intensity that was present is now being released.

And for these next few rounds of breath,

Anything that's lingering,

It's still ready to go is just being drained out through the bottom of your field,

Down into the earth.

Slow easy inhale through the nose,

Steady exhale out through the mouth.

Staying here for as long as you need.

And when you are ready,

Return to the room.

Notice yourself grounded,

Settled,

And clear.

Prepare to take this with you back into your day,

Back into your life,

Back into your week and time ahead.
