Hello and good evening.
This is your body speaking.
I can't tell you how glad I am that you are here.
Thank you for stopping finally,
For turning toward me.
I appreciate it.
I know today may have been a lot.
Maybe the mind has been moving fast and I've been trying to keep up.
Or maybe you've been holding things in and I've been holding them too.
Here's a gentle suggestion.
Let's take a soft breath in together and out.
That's it.
That's beautiful.
You know,
I've been feeling a little tight,
A little restless.
Tension likes to hide in places,
Shoulders,
Jaw,
Belly,
Even fingertips.
Sometimes restlessness is just me asking for care.
Let's offer it now together.
Imagine this.
The moon is rising in the sky,
Soft and full.
Its light spilling gently through your window,
Touching me,
Your body,
With kindness.
Let the moonlight graze the soles of the feet.
Feel it like a whisper,
A soft tickle of ease.
Up to the ankles,
The knees,
Through the thighs,
Warm and golden.
The belly has been guarding you.
Let it know it's safe to soften now.
With the next exhale,
Feel it release just a little.
The moonlight continues over the chest,
The shoulders,
Melting some of the tightness that built up throughout the day.
Can you feel it?
Now,
Into the arms,
Down to the palms and the fingers.
Letting the hands unclench.
Letting them rest.
Now,
Bathing the throat and jaw,
Relaxing the tongue,
Softening the space behind the eyes.
And the moonlight finally reaches the crown of the head and gently spills over everything,
Wrapping me,
Your body,
In calm.
Take another soft breath in and a long,
Slow breath out.
Can you feel it shift?
Part by part,
I am letting go.
I am not in a rush.
You are not in a rush.
There's nothing to fix,
Just softening.
The fingers curl gently and the arms grow heavier with ease.
The chest moves with the breath,
Slowly,
Quietly.
The legs are sinking into the bed,
Held by gravity,
Held by firmness and care.
Take another breath in and on the exhale,
Notice the spaciousness beginning to spread.
You may notice the moonlight move easily now,
Like water flowing where it's most needed.
Every cell is soaking up this calm,
Every muscle invited to rest.
I'm still here with you.
There's nothing you need to do.
Your only task is to be.
Letting the breath carry you gently,
Without effort,
Into sleep.
You are safe here and I,
Your body,
Am grateful for your care.
You may drift off to sleep now or you may rest quietly a little longer,
Either way,
I'm here,
Soft,
Warm and with you.
And just know this is just one in a series of bedtime messages.
You are most welcome to explore the others whenever you like.
For now,
Just rest.
Good night.
