Hello again,

Good morning,

Good afternoon,

Good evening,

Good night.

Wherever you are,

Whatever time of day it is for you.

Welcome to time out.

This is that magic time you take for yourself to allow your body to settle,

Relax and to restore all those cells within you emotionally,

Physically and mentally.

And remember,

The more we practice doing this,

The more we are able when we need it most to drop in to that place of calmness and peace and stillness where we can see things easily,

Where we can respond.

So,

Let's get started on journey five.

I hope you can remember those little triggers that help us to start.

Remember to count and to visualise the numbers and colours as you count four in and seven out.

So,

Here we go.

A deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

Just return to your natural breathing in between.

A deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

And once again,

This time,

Letting those eyelids close.

A deep breath in and a long slow breath out.

Taking yourself now to that place,

That space that is just yours behind your eyes.

Soft and perhaps dark or perhaps light.

Perhaps there are colours.

Each time may be different.

Don't try too hard to make it anything in particular.

And watch now as the screen of your mind opens to reveal a set of steps,

A set of steps leading inward.

These are your steps.

Only you can travel them and they take you inwards into your inner sanctuary.

So let's step onto the first step and immediately feel that sense of peace that emanates from the step that rises up through your feet,

Into your legs and then your whole body.

Now the next step and the peace and the sense of stillness and safety increases.

And the next step.

And the next step.

There is a soft mist ahead of you and you can no longer see the steps but the mist has a sense of welcome,

A very friendly warm mist.

And as you step onto the next step you feel it gently wrap itself around you like a soft welcoming cape.

Couple more steps.

One.

And two.

And you start to feel this incredible sense of peace and calmness all around you weaving its way through you.

And the mist clears to reveal a door.

This is the door to your sanctuary.

Check the colour it is at this time.

It may change,

Its shape may change,

The patterns on it and the colours on it may change.

The door handle may change or there may not be a handle.

But when you touch it lightly in a moment it will open and it will open into a most beautiful room with a large panoramic window.

So are you ready now?

Just gently open your door and step into the space that is your sanctuary.

Take in the nature of the room.

The colours of the walls and the ceiling.

Whether or not there are pictures or decorations on the wall.

The floor.

The large panoramic window that looks out onto a beautiful garden surrounding a pool.

And in the centre of your room the most comfortable easy chair you could ever imagine.

Breathe in the peace and stillness of your room.

Now let's focus on your chair.

You'll notice there is a cloak draped over the back of your chair.

And we can make our way there now and take the cloak that is of the softest,

Lightest,

Most natural material you could imagine.

Just wrap it around you and take a seat.

Press into the comfort of your chair.

Only you ever sit in this chair.

This chair of peace,

Of stillness,

Cool and warm,

Soft.

And you can feel the relaxation from this chair flow into you.

Combined with the peace and softness of your cloak.

Like a gentle energy weaving its way into your neck and up into your head.

A gentle stream of peace.

Cross your shoulders and down your arms into your hands and fingers.

Soothing,

Relaxing,

Calming.

On your body,

Around your hips and your upper legs.

Drifting all the way down to your knees,

Your lower legs,

Into your ankles,

Your feet and toes.

This gentle stream of peaceful energy.

Completely relaxing your whole body.

Inside and out.

And from this beautiful place of total relaxation,

Let's now look out of our window.

This vast panoramic window that looks out onto the most beautiful garden and pool.

Soft sunlight filters down through the leaves on the plants.

Catching the surface of the pool and reflecting soft light,

Gentle light.

A gentle breeze touches the water and creates ripples of light that radiate out through the window onto you.

A beautiful sense of warmth and comfort.

And it invites you to let go of all the stress and tension that you are holding within your body.

And picture it like a mist being drawn from you and drifting out through the window,

Up,

Up into the sky.

All that anxiety,

Those fears,

Those worries and concerns that have been weighing you down.

Just feel them drawn from you through the window by that gentle breeze in the sunlight and being lifted higher and higher into the sky.

Becoming smaller,

Forming like a small cloud,

Drifting higher and further away until they disappear beyond your vision.

Back to where they came from.

And notice now that you not only feel relaxed but light.

You can feel the gentle breeze touch you.

You can feel the soft sunlight warm you.

And you can see within the pool the most perfect reflections as it settles into stillness.

Just like the pools within your body,

When they are still and calm,

They reflect life perfectly.

You can see clearly.

You can make choices knowing that you see things clearly,

The whole picture.

Just relax for a moment or two in this beautiful space,

In your chair,

Wrapped in your cloak,

In your sanctuary,

Focusing on the beautiful light and foliage and pool within your garden.

Now before we go,

We have something else to do.

And you may or you may not have noticed that there on the far side of your room is a filing cabinet.

It may be bright colored.

It may be black or gray or white.

It has three drawers in it.

And let's make our way over now,

Over to this filing cabinet.

Three drawers.

Let's open the bottom drawer.

This drawer is full of old files,

Files that you no longer need that weigh you down.

They may have helped you once,

But now they are a drag.

It's time to let them go.

There may be lots.

There may be a few.

It doesn't matter what they are.

But now if you look to one side of your filing cabinet,

You'll notice there is a shredder.

Let's take a file out and put it through the shredder.

Watch it.

It shreds it so small it sends it back to where it belongs.

Take two files and shred them.

Three files.

Now take all the remaining files and shred them.

Doesn't matter what they are.

But feel your body become also lighter again and again as you let them go.

Files that you no longer need.

And when the drawer is empty,

Let's close it.

And let's open the middle drawer.

And it's quite amazing when you open this drawer you get a sense of brightness and lightness and positivity.

This is the drawer of the files that support you.

The files to keep.

The files to remind you of good times.

The files that will help you in the future.

Just close the drawer gently and keep them there.

And now the top drawer.

In the top drawer is a photo.

This is a photo of you as you'd like you to be in your future.

Just pick it up and look at it.

Notice there is a glow about you.

There is a peace and calmness about you.

Notice the strength.

The expression on your face.

Perhaps you can notice where you are.

What you are wearing.

It may be a day in your future or it may be weeks or months or years.

But this is the you that that inner you knows you'd like to be.

So let's take it out now and pin it on the board on the wall.

Put it there where you can see it.

Beautiful.

Bright.

And now think of whom you'd like to be in your future.

Of the things you'd like to do in your future.

The people you'd like to have around you in your future.

And picture them in your mind and place them around the photo of you on the wall.

All those people and things that will love and support you.

And watch them come to life.

The interactions.

That energy.

See it there for your future.

Now it's time to come back.

So just leave them there on the wall.

They'll always be there in your sanctuary to remind you.

And just take off your cloak and replace it on your chair.

Take one last look through your window at your garden and around the room that is your sanctuary.

And know it's always there inside you as we go back through the door.

And back up those steps to that place behind your eyes.

Bringing with you that peace,

That stillness,

The clarity,

The strength and the lightness from your sanctuary.

Bringing it back now.

Back to your day or your night.

And remember you can go there any time that you need to.
