Today's Consideration: God Is With You

Today's Considerations are short observations about who God is and who we are in God. These observations are meant to weaken, hopefully, our conscious (and unconscious) habits that separate us from God and bring to awareness our characteristics that keep us in alignment with God.

Today's Consideration When you start to pray by ritual, Stating pretty words that would be impressive to anyone listening, But you have no comfort afterwards. When you attend worship services by tradition, Dressed and pressed like clockwork every week, But you find no guidance in the revealing of God's truth. When you pray for help, Barely believing that it will come, And grasp for answers that may provide some relief, But, Ultimately, Compound into more sorrow. When the feelings of overwhelm, Anxiety, Sadness, Helplessness, And hopelessness become so constant that you feel numb, And then it starts to dawn on you that you've been in the trenches far too long. Be still. Just be still. God is with you. He's been waiting for you to officially be done with managing life your own flawed way. To be done with advising yourself with your own flawed thinking. To be done with clinging to your own flawed logic that has produced futile and bitter fruit. And now that you're done. Know that He is God. Know that everything comes together or is broken apart by His will. Know that anything broken is reshaped and restored to align with Him. Know that anything out of alignment is cast away forever for your good. Know that He is your strength, Your protection, And your source. Be still and know that He is God. Thank you.
