Today's meditation is focused on shifting your energy from overwhelm to calm.
Please do not drive while listening to the recording.
Go ahead and find yourself in a comfortable seated position.
Please know that whatever is happening in your life right now,
These next few moments are your opportunity to find peace and stillness from within.
Oh amazing woman,
I know how hectic your life can feel at times.
I understand how tricky it can be to take even a few minutes out for yourself and plug back in.
How challenging it can be to find inner calm,
To make peace with where you're at.
But you're doing it.
Today right here right now you said yes to trading overwhelm and chaos for deep centering calm.
You said yes to putting your needs first and that dear sister is the difference that makes the difference.
This is you putting on your oxygen mask by allowing yourself 10 minutes of uninterrupted self connection time.
So let's begin.
If you haven't already done so,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
As you listen to the sound of my voice and as you feel the support of the chair or the earth beneath you,
Allow your body to settle in now and relax.
Even with a busy mind you can start to feel your level of awareness deepening.
At your own pace,
Notice the ebb and flow of your breath as it begins to expand to fill your chest and belly.
Breathing in and breathing out and turning your gaze inward.
It's okay if your mind wanders throughout this meditation.
It's normal for thoughts to come and go.
You could be listening intently one minute and become distracted by things another.
When that happens,
Just bring your attention back to your breath.
Listen to the sound of my voice and allow your focus to land again on the present moment.
In your mind's eye now,
I invite you to imagine a trap door situated at the top of your head.
You may find it easy to locate by noticing where you feel the most tension inside your mind.
You feel that don't you?
It's okay.
Take a deep breath.
Today you can trust that together we are going to transform this energy so you feel more at ease and peace in your heart.
Go ahead and take another breath now.
A full,
Deep,
Reassuring breath then another.
That's right.
In a moment we're going to open that little trap door and we're going to set those thoughts free out into the world in order to bring you back into your body and back into the present moment.
Don't worry.
You can collect them again if you want to.
They will not be lost.
You are simply making space to breathe again.
Perhaps you've already begun to feel the release that comes from taking the time to tune in to yourself.
As you open your trap door now begin breathing in through your nose for the count of four as the energy of overwhelm dissipates.
Breathing in two,
Three,
Four and breathing out two,
Three,
Four.
Feeling the thoughts gently leaving through your mind out through the door two,
Three,
Four and out two,
Three,
Four.
Helping to calm the mind and steady the focus by counting your breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
That's right.
Go ahead and allow your breathing to take on a natural rhythm of its own now as you see and feel any tight energy escaping up out of your head into the air like birds or balloons and floating off into the distance taking away the tension.
I know how tempting it can be to wish things were different than they are to want to be somewhere other than where you're currently at.
We all go there and those thoughts and feelings certainly create tension in the body.
I also know there are no shortcuts that where you are right now is exactly where you need to be and sister you simply cannot get to where you're going by leapfrogging over this part.
So go ahead and surrender.
That's right.
Let any heaviness within you arise and let go up into the divine.
Trust in whatever force you believe in.
Breathe into the knowing that with acceptance of where you're at and sweet surrender comes a deep sense of inner calm and from inner calm comes wiser decisions and the ability to access wisdom from within.
As the last of your busy mind floats off into the distance begin to feel a deep sense of grounding and calm descend upon you.
It feels so good.
I wonder how long it's been since you felt truly held and supported.
Being able to trust in something bigger than yourself to share your load.
You can offer your challenges up anytime you need to you know.
You don't have to do this alone.
You are always taken care of and you have only to ask for guidance from the universe in order to receive it.
Now that you've created more space in your mind I invite you to envision and feel a beautiful radiant light flowing down from above through your open door into your head into your body your heart and your soul.
Choose a color that represents the energy you need most right now.
Allow this brilliant light to recharge you support you heal you give you what you need most.
Take it to every area inside you that requires attention.
I'm going to offer you just a few minutes in stillness now to give you the time you need to absorb all that's required to fill your cup and I will call you back when it's time.
