Belly Dancing for Wellness: Grounding

with Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana

During this unique, fun, and mindful workshop we will combine the beautiful art of Oriental Dance (aka Bellydance) with mindfulness to boost our body awareness, self-acceptance, and self-confidence. Additionally, we can profit from other well-known benefits of dancing (which are strengthened with this fusion), such as stress reduction, more positivity, and an increased sense of wellbeing. Please keep in mind that this is not a normal dance class, focused on technique (although we will learn some), therefore the goal is not to create performers. The aim of these sessions is to use the dance (belly dance) as a vehicle to find new ways to reconnect with ourselves and provide extra love and care to our bodies and soul. We create a new way to meditate, with our beautiful bodies in movement (while dancing).

Students will...

  • Reduce stress while increasing body awareness

  • Cultivate positivity and self-confidence

  • Foster self-acceptance and a healthy self-esteem

  • Experience improved general and psychological well-being

  • Enhance coordination and decrease emotional reactivity

This learning experience includes:

  • 60 minutes of live content including Q&A time with the teacher

  • Access to a private group to continue the conversation and connection

  • A recording of the workshop which you can access up to 90 days after the session
