We all have those heavy days, in which we feel overwhelmed by the stress of our day. Perhaps due to the many activities and responsibilities we have or just because we wake up feeling not that positive. This is a short mindful dancing practice to help you release stress and negativity during days where things do not flow.

Sit comfortably,

With the chest open but body relaxed,

And for a moment,

Close your eyes.

Notice your breath.

Take two deep,

Relaxing breaths.

With each inhalation,

Feel how the body expands and creates space,

And with the exhalation,

Release all tension.

Continue breathing normally,

And pay attention to your body.

Start to wake it up,

Gently,

And being totally present,

Start moving your shoulders,

Your head,

Arms,

Your chest,

And slowly start to get up.

Breathe,

Move,

And stay present.

Now,

When the music changes,

Let your body flow freely with the music,

Let everything go.

This moment is just for you,

Enjoy it.
