Hello and welcome to this chakra unblocking meditation.
During this practice we will be doing humming,
So ensure you are in a space where you are comfortable making a sound.
It won't be a particularly loud noise.
Chakras are energy channels in the body that help us connect with our soul and emotions.
The word chakra translates to a circle or wheel.
They are located in very important places within the body,
Making their well-being of vital importance to our health.
Blockages in the chakras can slow down energy in the body,
So today our intention is to clear any blockages within the chakras.
Before we start our practice here's a little reminder of what all the chakras are.
The first chakra is the Muladhara chakra,
Otherwise known as the root chakra at the base of the spine.
The element for this chakra is earth and the colour is red.
This has the most powerful energy connected with survival,
Stability,
Self-care,
Anxiety,
Uncertainty and grounding.
The mantra for this chakra is I am.
The next chakra is the Svadhisthana chakra or the sacral in the lower abdomen.
The element for this chakra is water and the colour orange.
Associated with fluidity,
Creativity,
Sexuality,
Sensuality and reproduction.
The mantra for this chakra is I feel.
Next we have the Manipakara or the solar plexus,
Positioned in the navel.
The element for this chakra is fire and the colour is yellow.
The chakra is associated with your willpower,
Self-esteem,
Confidence and strength.
Overly competitive people have too much energy here,
Such as competitive business people not caring for others.
The mantra for this chakra is I do.
Then we have the Anahata chakra or the heart chakra.
The element for this chakra is air and the colour is green.
Love,
Relationships and compassion are associated with the heart chakra.
And the mantra is I love.
Moving up we have the Vishuddhi chakra or the throat chakra.
The element here is ether or space and the colour is blue.
And this chakra is associated with expressions,
Truth,
Communication,
Speaking without fear,
Condition and greed.
The mantra here is I talk.
So these are the five chakras we'll be working with today in the meditation.
There are two other main chakras,
So I'll briefly describe those.
As I say we won't be using those chakras in this meditation.
So there's the third eye chakra,
Otherwise known as the mind's eye.
The element is mind and the colour indigo.
That's associated with our intellect and intuition.
We also have the crown chakra.
Beyond the elements,
The colour here is white slash violet.
And this chakra is associated with spiritual insight and enlightenment.
So as I say we're going to be working with the root chakra,
The sacral,
The solar plexus,
The heart and the throat.
To begin with,
We're going to do some humming for five minutes.
This is really simple to do if you haven't done it before.
We're going to take a deep breath in through the nose into the belly and then hum with your mouth closed and allow the vibrations to travel through your body.
Deep breath in and hum.
One more time.
Continue this practice for five minutes,
Taking deep breaths through the nose into the belly and then humming with your mouth closed and just allowing those vibrations to travel through the entire body.
As I say we'll do this for five minutes.
I'll let you know when the time is up.
Keep going just a minute or so with the humming.
Take some nice deep breaths.
Deep breaths.
Try to hum a little more intensity for the last minute or so.
If you'd like to relax the breathing now,
Stop the technique with the humming and just sit quietly and motionless for a minute.
Just embrace the stillness and just sit with the practice you've just done.
Notice any sensations in the body and how the mind is feeling.
Nowhere to go,
Nowhere to be.
Just sitting with what is.
Now we'll begin the main part of our practice and we'll begin tuning into the chakras and helping clear any blockages.
As mentioned earlier,
We'll focus on the five lower chakras for this practice.
So firstly,
I want you to imagine there is a lotus representing each of the five lower chakras in the body,
Each of the color of that chakra.
We'll begin at the root chakra.
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine.
Take a deep breath into your root chakra and imagine a red lotus expanding open there.
As you exhale,
Imagine the red lotus closing.
Inhale,
The lotus opens.
Exhale,
Lotus closes.
Breathe normally now,
But just keep imagining the lotus opening and closing with the breath.
Allow the energy to move freely there.
Here are some mantras for this chakra.
I am safe,
I am grounded.
The universe always provides for me.
We'll do another minute breathing into this chakra,
Imagining the red lotus opening and closing with the breath.
Now I'd like you to bring your awareness up to the sacral chakra,
Just below your belly button.
Breathe deeply into this area and allow it to gently soften.
This time,
Imagine an orange lotus there.
As you inhale,
The lotus petals open and as you exhale,
They close.
Allow the energy to flow naturally here and continue the practice,
Inhaling and exhaling as the lotus petals open and close.
I feel creative,
I feel sensual,
I feel fluid.
Just another minute of this practice,
Breathing in and out right into the sacral chakra.
Moving your awareness now up to the solar plexus towards the top end of your belly,
Just below the chest.
Breathe deeply into this area.
Feel the energy coming into the solar plexus.
Imagine a yellow lotus here.
As you inhale,
The petals open and as you exhale,
They close.
Focusing on this opening and closing with the breath.
I am strong,
I am confident,
I am energized.
Let's continue this practice for one more minute,
Breathing into and energizing the solar plexus.
Slowly now,
Bring your awareness up to the heart chakra in the center of the chest.
Breathe deeply into your heart space.
Feel the loving energy there.
Imagine a green lotus in your heart space.
As you inhale,
The lotus opens and as you exhale,
It closes.
Continue to practice this opening and closing of the lotus in your heart.
I love myself and others without conditions.
I am love.
Another minute breathing in and out into the heart,
Feeling that loving energy expanding through your whole.
Finally,
Bring your awareness up to the throat chakra.
Take a deep breath into your throat.
Imagine a blue lotus in your throat chakra.
As you inhale,
The lotus opens up.
As you exhale,
It closes.
Continue this practice in your throat chakra to help clear any blockages.
I speak my truth.
I am expressive.
I speak without fear.
One more minute breathing into the throat chakra,
Breathing deeply into the chakra,
Allowing the energy to flow freely.
That brings a close to our practice.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I hope you loved it.
May your aura shine brighter with each practice.
Have a beautiful day and big love from me until next time.
If you'd like to extend this practice,
I'd recommend just lying down for 10 or 15 minutes after the music ends,
Just lying there and being with what is,
And enjoying the benefits of the practice we've just done.
Big love until next time.
