We are bombarded with distractions in modern day life and these distractions can often hinder our progress. These triggers and temptations may cause addictive tendencies such as doom scrolling, pornography addiction, comparing yourself with others and much more. If these affirmations are repeated on a regular basis it will enable you to delay gratification. These temptations target our minds dopamine system and depletes our will power for self control. When we regain control of our minds we can focus on our priorities and make wise decisions towards our long term goals.

Self-control is something that's quite hard to cultivate within your life because there are so many distractions in modern day society.

It's easy to get caught up and lose sight of what's really important,

What we want and what's healthy for us.

So today we're going to be repeating powerful affirmations that will help us regain control in our life.

Please find a comfortable position in which you can repeat these affirmations out loud or within your mind.

And when you are comfortable close your eyes and repeat after me.

I am in control of my thoughts,

Actions and reactions.

I have the power to choose my responses wisely in every situation.

I release any impulsive behaviors and embrace self-discipline.

I possess the inner strength to overcome any temptation or distraction.

I honor my commitments and follow through on my goals.

Each day my self-control grows stronger and more resilient.

I am mindful of my impulses and make conscious choices based on my values.

With self-control I create a life of balance and harmony.

Patience and moderation guides my actions and decisions.

I have affirmations that I write down everyday. Is that Also powerful? I have been doing that for quite a long time but ttey don't seem to be present in my life unless they are so subtle that I don't notice them.
