This is a song about empathy. When we imagine ourselves in the other person's place, we can develop empathy and see that we are all interconnected and need empathy and eachother to survive and thrive. Empathy involves using mirror neurons to mirror pain in the brain that helps us recognize, feel and alleviate the suffering of another. When we build self empathy first, we develop the skills to have empathy for others. Your pain and suffering is my pain and suffering. No one is free until we are all free from suffering. Together, we are empathy. Original song written by Rian Gordon, vocals and ukulele musical arrangement by Leah Kumayama.
