Welcome,

This is a guided meditation on a rose.

If you don't have a rose,

You may choose any flower that has many layers of petals for this exercise.

Now I invite you to take the rose and touch one petal.

What does it feel like?

How does it feel on your fingers?

How old is the flower?

What does it smell like?

What color is the rose?

Is it one color or does it have multiple shades?

Do you think that the colors on the flower are natural or artificial?

How many petals do you think that there are on the flower?

I invite you to peel the layers of the flower as pieces of identity that have been placed upon it.

Remove the petals piece by piece.

Is the rose authentic or is it playing a part based on the outside layer and what the world can see?

What energy is coming from this rose?

Does the energy change as you remove the petals?

Is there different energy coming from different petals?

What is the energy communicating to you through your senses?

Remove more layers of the rose petal by petal.

How many layers are there?

Can you stay present with the rose and remove all of the petals with patience and kindness?

I invite you to place any remainder petals into a jar or a container to smell them later or make your own potpourri.

How do you feel?

What's coming up for you?

I invite you to journal about this and practice Svadhyaya,

Non-judgmental self-study and self-observation.

Sending you lots of love and care.
