Hello and welcome.
My name is Emma and today's meditation is going to help you create something in your life that you've been craving.
A lot of the time we think that in order to create something in our life,
We have to go out and find it somewhere.
So if we want to have more love in our life,
We have to go find a relationship that gives us love.
Or if we want to be safe.
We go out and we look for ways to make more money because money equals safety.
Or if we're looking for peace,
We go looking for a location that makes us feel peaceful.
But when we go about it this way,
When we look for things outside of ourselves that we're trying to create inside.
We're actually going about it backwards.
What we really need to be doing is trying to create that feeling that we're looking for,
That thing we're craving,
Safety,
Love,
Peace,
Security,
Contentment.
Inside,
In our breath,
In our body,
In the way that we move through our day,
So that it can manifest in our external world.
Everything in your life mirrors what is going on with you internally.
So that's what today's meditation is all about,
Creating that feeling that you're craving inside your body so that you can ground it in your skin and in your breath and in your bones and carry it with you throughout your day.
So we're going to begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated,
Standing,
Or laying down.
Doesn't really matter,
Whatever feels right.
And you also shouldn't feel like you have to stay in that position if at any point during the meditation you feel like you want to move or shift or.
Change where you are,
It's totally fine.
Just take a moment to settle.
And wherever you are.
Find a nice long straight spine.
Creating space between each vertebrae.
Lengthening through the back of your neck.
Extending through the top of your head and also down into the floor,
Down through your tailbone.
Just finding some length and some space in your spine.
And then release any holding in your muscles around that spine.
And just let your natural link.
Your natural spinal curve just hold you.
And effortless.
Support for your physical body.
And begin to tune into your breath.
And notice how you're breathing right now.
And if you haven't already,
You can.
Close your eyes or just make sure your gaze is soft.
As you begin to Just find that rhythm with your breath.
A nice steady natural rhythm And maybe notice the overall energy of your breath.
If it's fast or slow.
Shallow or deep.
Smoother.
Is it getting stuck somewhere?
On the way in or on the way out.
And there's no right or wrong way to breathe,
Especially now at the beginning of our practice when we're just starting to tune in.
The way we breathe can tell us a lot.
The breath changes when we're stressed.
Or happy.
So just taking a few more moments to just notice your breath.
And maybe see what it has to say to you this morning.
And then C.
You can just gently invite your breath a little bit deeper into your belly.
See if you can make.
.
.
The inhales and exhales just a little bit longer,
A little bit more intentional.
And create a natural deepening of your breath.
A steady rhythm.
Something that feels really calming.
But also sustainable.
And you might like to add a count.
If you're having a hard time getting out of your head this morning,
Maybe adding Count to four on the inhale and the exhale.
Just finding a nice easy rhythm with your breath.
And so when we talk about creating internally.
The circumstances that we want to see externally.
So when we talk about creating safety within ourselves or creating security away.
Breath is a beautiful place to begin.
Because just like our breath can be.
Chaotic when we're not paying attention can stop in the chest and get stuck and feel heavy or feel out of control.
Just even a little bit of concentration and intention.
We can bring a steady flow and rhythm to the breath.
We can deepen it.
We can let it go.
We can find ourselves in that rhythm.
And while it's a little bit easier to bring our attention to the breath and it is.
Fear and security.
Or low self-worth or any of those number of things that it's easier just to ignore.
Sometimes even just a little bit of attention can shift.
That stop.
Can make a huge difference.
And how you feel.
And so I want you to take a moment and think about something that you've been searching for.
Something that you long for.
A relationship.
A job,
A purpose,
Money.
Something that you have been fixated on creating in your life.
And maybe just choosing intuitively the first thing that comes to mind.
And ask yourself what you are hoping to gain by bringing that thing into your life.
So if it's money,
What do you think money is going to bring?
Into your life.
For me,
Money was the equivalent of security.
More money meant more security and more safety.
Maybe it's a little bit different for you.
Maybe more money means respect.
Maybe the relationship you're looking for.
Is going to give you something that feel like you can't get somewhere else.
Just identifying that underlying need,
That thing that you're hoping will come out of getting.
The thing that you desire.
And then take a moment to imagine.
That thing is here.
You've received the money.
You found the relationship.
You got the job.
You moved to that place.
And on a very visceral.
Leveler.
Imagine how it would feel to have that.
Thing that you desire.
But more importantly,
That feeling that you desire,
The safety.
The security,
The love.
The respect.
Imagine that feeling in your whole body and what does it feel like?
What does it feel like to be safe?
To be loved,
To be secure.
What does your breath do in response?
How does your body react?
What emotions or sensations will you feel when you have that thing?
Just imagining and bringing.
A little bit of that feeling that you crave into your body,
Into this moment.
Even if you don't really know how it'll feel.
Just imagine it.
And take a few more breaths.
As you really bring this feeling to life in your body.
And in your mind and in your breath.
You And now I'd like you to imagine that feeling.
Kind of sinking in.
To your physical body.
Sinking into your skin and into your muscles and into your bones.
Creating roots in your heart.
And then your gut.
And in your lungs,
And in your mind,
Your brain.
That feeling that you've been imagining.
And energy that your body is just going to absorb and hold for you.
And so as you move through your day and as you move through the rest of your week.
Whenever you find yourself craving that thing on the outside.
You can come back.
To it on the inside.
Steady flow of that energy within your own self.
That you can lean on when the world gets chaotic.
And when it feels like there's not enough.
And then whenever you're ready.
You can just gently begin to take some deeper breaths.
Really cementing and grounding that feeling in your body.
As you begin to notice.
Any noises in your environment.
Start to notice where you are in your space in relation to a wall.
To a window.
And to the floor below you.
Slowly begin to move your fingers and your toes,
Your wrists,
Your ankles.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
Hopefully I will see you here again soon.
Bye for now.
