Hello and welcome.
My name is Emma and this is a gentle grounding meditation to help you find a safe harbor to rest within yourself.
You can begin by finding a comfortable position.
You can sit,
Stand,
Or lay down.
Whatever feels most natural and restful for you today.
Take any gentle movements that feel good as you gently lengthen through your spine and the back of your neck.
Just finding a nice comfortable position as we close the eyes and begin to drop into the rhythm of our breath.
So just noticing the natural rhythm of your breathing as you follow the inhale in and the exhale out.
And here at the beginning of your practice you may find that your breathing is a little fast or maybe it stops in the chest.
Maybe your inhale is longer or shorter than your exhale.
There's no need to judge or control your breath quite yet.
Just beginning to notice what's here.
And then in your own time just take a moment to notice what's here.
Take three deep breaths.
Nice long inhales into the belly and full exhales out pulling the belly button into the spine.
Taking the other two in your own time.
Just allowing these three deep breaths to really drop you into the present moment and into your body.
And as you finish your third breath start to find a nice even rhythm with your breathing.
And if it helps you might add a count to your breath.
Inhaling and exhaling for a count of four.
Finding a nice even gentle rhythm with your breathing.
As you continue to breathe start to focus your attention on the space just behind your belly button.
First noticing your breath as it gently causes the belly to rise and fall.
But then also noticing the energy that gathers here in that space behind your belly button.
In the chakra system this is the home of your solar plexus chakra.
The seat of your own personal power.
And if it helps maybe you can imagine this energy center with a certain color texture.
A little ball of energy that moves and fluctuates with your breath.
Or maybe it stays steady shining brightly here.
In the space behind your belly button.
And as we continue into our meditation one that's focused on finding a safe place within us.
We start here at the solar plexus for a reason.
Because we're looking for a home within ourselves.
A space we can come back to and rest in any time we feel overwhelmed or out of body or just generally tired or out of.
So we start here at the place of our own willpower our own self-confidence.
So we can drop into our own energy.
And you don't have to really think about what that means because as soon as you bring your attention here you are already beginning to come back to yourself.
It's as natural as your breath that gently pulls in and out.
A coming back.
Take a few breaths here as you imagine that ball of energy and just really get a sense for what it feels like to rest here.
And then from here we're going to gently let our mind's eye go from the space behind the belly button down into the space in our pelvis the sacral chakra down into the root chakra at the base of the spine down our legs and into the earth beneath our feet.
Imagining a glowing cord of light that goes from the space behind your belly button all the way down into the earth.
It goes through the earth's crust down down down all the way to the center of the earth.
And at the core of the earth there's a great crystal.
It can be any color texture it can look any way you like it too.
And as you absorb the beauty and magnificence of the earth's crystalline core you notice a doorway.
One that draws you in with its familiarity.
That doorway calls to you and feels just like a little piece of you in this crystalline core.
And so you walk or glide or fly to this door.
Place your hand on the door handle and gently walk inside.
And before you materializes a space.
This space is your home at the center of the earth.
It can look any way you like.
A comfortable maybe familiar maybe not space for you to rest.
Look around and imagine the space in as much detail as you like.
Notice what time of day it is.
Is there a place for you to sit or lay down?
What is around you?
Creating a safe space one where you can rest here the center of the earth.
And before I allow you some silence to create this space in your mind's eye.
I want you to remember that this is your home your safe space.
It can look or feel any way you like.
It can change as you change.
You can have solitude or company.
You can be in or outside.
This space is for you and you alone.
And as you look around your space.
You notice that doorway once again.
That same door that you entered.
Come into your safe space here at the center of the earth.
And now as we begin to come back into our bodies.
We once more pass through that doorway.
And travel back up our grounding cord.
Up that cord into our feet.
Our root chakra.
Our sacral chakra.
Back into that space behind our belly button.
The solar plexus chakra.
We gently bring our attention up into the heart.
The heart chakra.
The space behind your breast bone.
Continuing up into the throat.
The third eye.
The space between your eyebrows.
Up into the crown chakra.
At the top of your head.
Activating all of the chakras as we draw that energy.
That safe space energy.
Up from the earth.
Into our body.
Activating all of the energetic systems.
As we gently breathe in that safety.
That groundedness.
Take a moment here to be with your body.
Breathing all of these energy centers.
Activated and alive and open.
Resting here in your own light.
Your own energy.
Tethered and grounded.
Know that if at any point you start to feel.
Overwhelmed.
Or stressed.
Or uncomfortable.
Or out of place.
That space you created.
In the earth's core.
It will always be there for you.
Now.
A safe harbor.
Where you can rest.
And come back to yourself.
Taking one final moment here.
To feel yourself.
In that space.
Gently beginning to come back.
To your breath.
Deepening the inhale.
And lengthening the exhale.
Notice any noises.
In your environment.
And feel where.
The ground.
Your seat.
Presses up against your body.
Just letting go.
Gently and lovingly.
Supporting you.
Bring some movement.
To your fingers.
Your toes.
And then only as you feel ready.
Begin to open your eyes.
Gently look around.
And come back into your space.
Thank you so much.
For meditating with me today.
And I hope.
You're able to.
Carry a little piece.
Of this safety.
This groundedness with you.
Throughout the rest of your day.
Namaste
