Today's meditation focused on cultivating a field of loving kindness as we offered well-wishing prayers to ourselves and others. As we practiced we discovered the joy and effortlessness of receiving. Giving and receiving are like breathing, you need both the inhale and the exhale, and you can't have one without the other. We're guided to receive this week, trusting in the goodness of ourselves and others.

All right.

So go ahead and find yourself in a comfortable position,

Either lying down or sitting.

And.

I'd like to start with three deep breaths.

Breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth.

You start to feel the weight of gravity.

It's pulling down on your shoulders and on your arms and legs.

Sort of start to feel like you're sinking into the earth.

And let's set our grounding cord.

Again,

It's just something that you visualize.

That connects your sits bones.

Or your body.

Deep into Mother Earth.

Maybe it's tree roots.

Or a waterfall.

And now,

As you breathe.

As you inhale.

Just breathe in peace and equanimity.

And as you exhale,

Just let go of anything that's not in your highest good to hold on to today,

Anything that's not serving you or your family.

And just let that gently and effortlessly.

Move down through your body.

And out through your grounding cord.

So you might repeat the phrase,

I breathe in peace.

I breathe out tension.

We can connect this back into the beautiful Mother Earth that supports us.

And surrounds us with her earth energy.

And so as you breathe in,

You can imagine bringing in.

Nourishing earth energy,

Perhaps from a special power place in nature,

Or perhaps just from where you are.

I breathe in the support of Mother Earth.

And I release all that is bothering me.

I breathe in the support of Mother Earth.

I breathe out all that is bothering me.

I breathe in the support of Mother Earth.

And I breathe out all that doesn't belong.

In your mind's eye,

Let's just slowly place our awareness above.

Our crown chakra is at the top of our head.

And slowly move that point of awareness out above your town.

Above the entire earth.

And find that point of awareness.

In the vast cosmos.

Surrounded by sparkling lights.

And a sea of possibility and expansion.

Just identify one light that's maybe twinkling a little brighter.

Perhaps it's calling your name,

Or just feels really attractive to you.

And allow that star to just become aligned with your point of awareness.

So it just shifts,

Like the star just comes right overhead.

And allow that starlight,

Whatever color it is,

To travel down in through the crown of your head.

So allow that starlight to just kind of lock in right above your head.

And it just showers its starlight down through your crown.

Over your shoulders.

Into your torso and your belly.

Down into your groin and your pelvis.

Down into your thighs.

To your feet.

And it's just this beautiful cosmic shower of lightness,

Possibility.

Just know that this star,

Whichever star came to you,

Is your,

It's like your special sauce.

It's your,

It's giving you yourself,

Sorry,

It's giving you your permission to be yourself.

And just allow it to come in through your crown.

And it's just kind of filling up the interstitial spaces that may have been grounded out some negativity,

And now you're refilling.

With possibility and excitement.

You're energized for your life and for today.

And so let's just repeat silently,

Like I allow myself permission to be my unique self.

Let's say that a different way.

I give myself permission to be my unique and beautiful self.

I give myself permission to be my unique and beautiful self.

And that seniority,

That ability to hold your sort of spiritual power in the midst of the world is governed by that crown chakra,

That top of the head chakra.

So just open that chakra completely up.

And just allow that starlight to come pouring in.

There's no need to hinder it or temper it.

It is meant for you.

And you have unique and beautiful gifts for the world.

And just be in that receiving mentality that we talked about,

Just allowing to receive that goodness.

You don't have to effort.

All you have to do is be open to it,

Trusting.

That's a cosmic chi that you've allowed in is nurturing for you.

We're gonna sit in silence for about 10 minutes,

And then we'll come back together to do our loving kindness meditation.

So I invite you to continue to feel that beautiful cosmic shower.

If you'd like to move through your chakras and kind of check in with each of them,

Feel free to do that.

Or you can rest in the awareness of your breath.

Or simply the feeling of the cosmic chi coming into your body,

Which feels like it's coming into your body.

Energizing and relaxing at the same time.

I want you to gently come or bring your awareness into your heart space.

Your heart chakra is just the area around your heart in the center of your chest or your torso.

And just in the moment,

Just acknowledging the hard work and the tenderness of this beautiful organ.

This organ gives us the ability to have empathy with others and to feel,

Feel the pain and the grief and the sorrow of the world.

But also feel that joy and lightheartedness that we feel at times.

If you feel comfortable,

I like to put my hands over my heart.

Repeat the loving kindness phrases when we're ready to move forward.

I like to put my hands over my heart.

Repeat the loving kindness phrases,

Remembering that there's no one more deserving of our love and compassion than ourselves.

May I be well.

May I be happy.

May I know love.

May I know peace.

And you can place your hands out in front of you and think of someone that you easily love,

Perhaps a benefactor or a child,

A loved one.

And them into your heart.

And gently wish them,

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you know love.

May you know peace.

Open your arms a little bit wider and think of someone that's in your community.

Let's think of someone that walks down our street that you don't know their name,

You don't know anything about their life except they coexist in your world.

Excuse me.

Excuse me.

Just bring them gently into your heart and mind.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you know love.

May you know peace.

Stretch your hands out further and wider.

Bring into your heart and mind someone who presents a challenge to you.

Someone who you don't agree with or perhaps someone who has caused you pain or hurt you in some way.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you know love.

May you know peace.

Let them go from your mind and your heart.

Stretch your arms out as wide as they can go,

As high and as wide,

If that feels comfortable for your body.

And let's think about all the sentient beings throughout time and space.

All the sentient beings around the entire world at this moment in time.

Can we envelop them with love and peace?

Just bring them into your awareness knowing that we are deeply connected beyond ways that we can see or feel.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you know love.

May you know peace.

Bring your hands back to your heart,

To this body,

This lifetime,

This human experience.

May I be well.

May I be happy.

May I know love.

May I know peace.

May I know peace.

There's no one more deserving of your love and your compassion than yourself.

You have ultimate permission to be yourself in this world,

In this lifetime.
