This week in our meditation, I offer a simple daily practice of bringing our body, mind, and spirit into this time and place. By calling our energy back from problem-solving, people, and situations, we can gather our energy and use it wisely for ourselves and others in the precious present moment.

Welcome everyone to our weekly meditation.

I invite you to listen to this meditation every morning this week and just see if you notice a shift in your energy,

Your outlook.

I just offer this as a daily dose.

So let's do it together today.

Come into your gentle and supportive meditation posture and we'll start with our three deep breaths.

Breathing in through our nose and out through our mouth.

Let's gently bring our awareness into our body.

Let's focus on the sensation in our body of our breath.

What does it feel like in the chest when you breathe?

What does it feel like in the belly when you breathe?

Gently,

Gently take notice of the day of the week,

The date,

The year,

The place that you're in right now,

Your town,

Your state.

I'll get even more specific.

Maybe it's your bedroom chair,

Your cushion.

Just firmly root yourself.

This date,

This place,

This time,

Right here,

Right now.

Gently,

You're just going to call the energy back from problem-solving,

From other situations,

Other places.

You're just allowing your body,

Your mind,

Your heart,

And your spirit to be in this place all together right now.

Do you notice any extraneous thoughts?

The mind is racing forward or reviewing the past.

Simply come back to that sensation of the breath.

What does it feel like in your body right now to breathe?

Go ahead and place your awareness in your sits bones,

Where your bum is meeting your cushion or your chair.

Just feel that heaviness and the sense of being supported by the earth.

You're tethered by the earth and nourished by the earth.

Just allow your body to actually feel that physical sensation of support.

You're not going anywhere.

Part of your practice is to set your grounding cord and release negativity into the earth.

Go ahead and do that now.

Gently bring your awareness into your high heart,

Shoulders,

High back.

As you do that,

Just allow your posture to rise up.

Allow your spirit to be buoyed.

Body,

Breath,

And mind in perfect oneness.

I send my heart along with the sound of this bell.

May the hearers awaken from forgetfulness and transcend the path of anxiety and sorrow.

Listen,

Listen.

This wonderful sound brings me back to my true home.
