This meditation is an opportunity for you to connect with your values so that you can really tune in to the things that you want to help guide your everyday actions,
Your decisions,
The choices that you make,
So that your daily life feels more aligned with the things that matter most to you.
You will have an opportunity to choose some words that really speak deeply to how you want to be and who you want to be,
So that the things that you're choosing to do with your time and the ways that you might be going about those things really speaks to the soul of who you are.
And so before we get into that part,
Let's just take a moment to fully arrive.
Join me in this moment.
Join me right here,
Right now,
Listening to my voice and knowing that that is the only thing that you need to do right now.
You can take an inventory of your physical body,
Noticing where it is and what feels good and maybe what feels like it needs a little bit of a shift.
Maybe you notice some hunger coming up or perhaps some other need,
Maybe you're feeling fatigued.
However that is,
That your body is speaking to you and communicating to you,
Allow that to come forward,
Just making a gentle note to maybe attend to that need later or if you really need to,
Feel free to pause this and come back after you've met that need.
Feel yourself being held by the surface that you're on.
Let your body arrive here with every breath that you take,
Not judging the breath,
But only adjusting as needed.
You are in autonomy of your body.
You can see what feels good and what doesn't feel so good.
Attend to that,
Honor it.
As you settle into your body and as you settle into this moment,
Let's start to sink in to what matters most.
That is something that is very unique and will be different for every single listener out there.
You can close your eyes if that feels good to you,
If that feels like it helps you connect to what's inside,
Your thoughts and the things that matter deeply.
As you close your eyes or you have a soft gaze focused across the room from you or on an object,
I'm going to start naming some values words.
You can try these on for size and see if they are ones that feel aligned for you.
You might find that the words I say inspire you to think of words that feel fully your own.
Please feel free to dream up whatever words truly feel aligned for you.
Here are some values words that might be ones that feel really important to you.
Magic,
Creativity,
Wisdom,
Intellect,
Respect,
Loyalty,
Fun,
Play,
Honor,
Trustworthiness,
Fairness,
Equality,
Justice,
Rest,
Service,
What other words can you think about that are ones that guide who you strive to be every day?
Words that guide the actions that you take.
These might speak to the intentions that you have as a person,
As a human,
As someone existing in this world,
In your community,
In your family.
You might find that these values are different than they once were or perhaps they differ from the ones that you have in the space of your work or in your family and that is entirely okay.
You are allowed to experiment with these,
To play with these and see which ones really are the ones that light you up,
That keep you motivated,
That make you feel the most excited about moving forward.
Once you have a few of these words,
Tuck them into a cloud.
See if that's something that you can envision either out in front of you or within yourself.
See if you can tuck them in and as you tuck them into a cloud or perhaps another cozy space,
See if you can breathe into them some energy,
Some support,
Some permission to guide you in your daily life.
Taking nice full breaths to feed those values in guiding you,
Filling up that cloud or that space with what you need to know the way forward.
Sometimes it's really hard to tell what we should do or what the right decision for us is and while this isn't necessarily a surefire way of being able to determine that,
It can absolutely help guide you in your actions and feeling aligned with yourself,
Your truest self and the self that you yearn to be,
Your most authentic self.
Take another minute or two to be here,
To be here,
To sit with these values,
To let yourself imagine what life would look like if you were to let these lead you on a daily basis.
How would you carry yourself?
What facial expression would you have?
What would you wear?
Just think about it.
And after you've taken some time to breathe into those values that you've so lovingly imagined for yourself,
Start to come back to this present moment,
The world around you,
Moving your body gently if you've been still,
Tuning in to perhaps some noises around you,
Coming back bit by bit and coming up with an intention about your relationship with your values moving forward.
Maybe you put them on notes and stick them in places that are meaningful to you.
Maybe you create a collage or artwork with them somewhere where you can display them as a reminder.
