Welcome to day 9 of the Heart Workers 21 Day Meditation Journey.
Sit with a straight spine or lie down.
Relax your shoulders.
Raise your hands on your knees.
Close your eyes.
And take this time to connect with your own body.
Start to notice the shape of your body.
And relax any area of tension.
Start now to focus on your breath.
Noticing each breath as it flows gently in and out of your body without any effort.
Now bring your attention to your heart space in the center of your chest.
You are safe.
Do you often judge quickly people around you?
Do you often come up with strong words for yourself?
Do you often beat yourself up thinking that you are not doing enough?
Do you often compare yourself to others?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes,
Congratulations!
Today is the first day of the rest of a compassionate life.
Compassion is making the radical shift to assume the best in others and in yourself.
What would the world be if we were easily listening and understanding the emotional states of another person without using the filter of our own life?
If we were always willing to reduce the suffering of another person and have a totally different perspective when it comes to how we perceive others,
We would create a more loving life for ourselves and others.
A more conscious kind and caring world.
Think of someone you know is suffering now.
Remember a moment that made you feel sad in the past or made you suffer like this person is suffering now?
Find similarities in the experience.
What can you do to reduce his suffering?
Believe in your power to do good to this person,
To bring back lightness in this person's life.
And then,
When you find that action that will help that person,
Notice how good compassion feels in your heart.
Take into your hearts now the wise words of the following poem.
My beloved child,
Break your heart no longer.
Each time you judge yourself,
You break your own heart.
You stop feeding on the love which is the wellspring of your vitality.
The time has come,
Your time,
To celebrate and to see the goodness that you are.
You,
My child,
Are divine.
You are pure.
You are subliminally free.
Let no one,
Nothing,
No idea or ideal obstruct you.
If one comes,
Even in the name of truth,
Forgive it for its unknowing.
Do not fight.
Let go.
You are God in disguise and you are always perfectly safe.
Do not fight the dark.
Just turn on the lights.
Let go and breathe into the goodness that you are.
This poem is from Swami Kripalvanandaji Bapuji.
Now,
Let's repeat three times in your mind today's affirmation.
I assume the best for myself and others.
I will remain silent now for a few minutes.
You can turn your attention to your breath,
Noticing each inhale and each exhale.
Or simply relax into the quiet.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
You are one.
Slowly begin to reawaken.
Notice your calm breath in and out.
Notice the sounds around you.
Feel the floor beneath you.
Allow your awareness to turn slowly to your body.
Allow each part of your body to reawaken slowly.
And as you move forward throughout the rest of your day,
You might notice the shadow arising again.
When it happens,
Call me look at it and with equal ease try to revisit today's affirmation as often as possible.
I assume the best for myself and others.
Gently now open your eyes.
Welcome back to your awakened hearts.
Namaste.
You are one.
