Welcome.

In this meditation,

I'm going to guide you through connecting with the space of silence so that you may lose your ego and enjoy the peaceful sensation of being open and clear.

Be seated in your meditative posture and allow yourself to just be comfortable.

Please close your eyes and mouth.

Let's start by deeply breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.

Rest your attention on the breathing cycle.

It will be your anchor throughout this meditation.

If thoughts arise,

Acknowledge them and let them go.

Simply return to the breath.

Allow each inhalation and exhalation to bring you clear presence and awareness of your senses.

Give yourself permission to relax,

Unwind,

And allow the natural state of being open and positive to fill the space.

I'll begin with a quote from William Shakespeare.

The empty vessel makes the greatest sound.

Silence is the absence of you getting in the way of yourself.

Silence is where the ego cannot rule your world.

Silence is the language of love before we try to translate it with words.

There is boundless freedom and expression within the space of silence.

If you wish to find and harness the wisdom to end your suffering,

First you must empty your mind of all the silly things you have learned which has kept you at bay from sailing the sea of enlightenment.

You've already made the first step of discerning that you want this.

You can feel good about coming here,

About sitting and meditating and choosing this meditation.

Now you will need discipline to submit your mind to silence.

Then slowly there will be the throbbing of life and it will arise from the silence and it will be the greatest music you've ever heard.

So great in fact that it will make everything else more beautiful in your life.

Just allowing your natural rhythmic breath to take place and sensing your body as it's simply resting in the present moment.

What quality of awareness are you connected with?

Right here,

Right now.

Tune into the vast expansiveness of being in a state of silence.

Only you have something grabbing for your attention,

But here you're allowing your senses to just function as they are.

You can direct a gentle awareness upon your senses as if to say,

I am allowed to simply be in this present moment,

Open and in tune with the space of silence.

Stay connected with this awareness for a while.

If anything comes up for the body or mind,

Just acknowledge them and return to your breath in your open senses.

Your awareness creates a space.

This space is your experience of being here and now.

Sense the quality of relaxation.

Sense the quality of alertness.

Breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.

Breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.

Breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.

Notice how the silence connects you to everything and nothing.

There is a calmness that opens your energy to the entire universe,

Yet there is no attachment in this space.

You are free,

You are calm,

You are reflecting the expression of the cosmos within your capacity of being human.

There is nothing to manipulate or change or do right now.

The silence is showing you the way to be clear,

To be open,

To be receptive and relaxed.

Continue emptying your mind and body if anything arises while in this space.

You are free,

You are calm,

You are reflecting the expression of the cosmos within your capacity of being human.

You are free,

You are calm,

You are reflecting the expression of the cosmos within your capacity of being human.

This space is timeless.

This space is infinite.

It expands into the universe and goes on and on and on.

This space is sacred.

Allow this space of silence to expand with each breath,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Place your gentle awareness upon going deeper and deeper into this experience.

What quality of completeness or wholesomeness are you able to tune into?

Continue embracing the stillness and silence.

Attempt to lose yourself in it.

Let go of your thoughts and your emotions and your responsibilities.

Just let the entire outside world fade away and wait patiently here until all thoughts and sensations have subsided.

Let go of your thoughts and your responsibilities.

Let go of your thoughts and your responsibilities.

All objects in your field of awareness come and go.

They appear and they disappear.

Do not identify with whatever is coming and going.

Instead,

Make friends and communicate with the silence.

Rest in this space as your alertness keeps your attention.

Nothing else is here with you right now in this space.

Your inner space transcends all aspects of time.

Past and future do not exist in your silence.

Rest in this space.

Allow your presence to grow more and more with each breath.

Let go.

Let go of all thoughts.

Your thoughts are not needed at this time.

Let go of all concepts.

Your concepts are nothing compared to the silence.

Let go of all ideas.

Your ideas don't need to be expressed right now.

Let go of all emotions and bodily sensations.

You are a clear and empty temple with the wonderful sound of the universe pulsating through you.

Completely let go of the outside world.

Only pay attention to the inner vast space of consciousness.

Feel every cell in your body melt away into this space.

Allow each breath to take you deeper and deeper into this space of silence.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

And notice the room that you're in.

You may want to stretch a little or lay on the ground.

Give your little toes and fingers a wiggle.

And just take in the energy that you've been connected with.

And let it go and come back gently into the physical world.

You may want to give thanks for this experience or for the space of silence.

Perhaps you made a new friend today with it.
