You You Our lives can be very busy The world around us is seemingly constantly grabbing for our attention We sometimes can lose our ability to manage the weight of having responsibilities Or we may struggle with it and need a way to gather our energies To overcome the challenges we face in life After all real strength is coming from within We may sometimes find ourselves having lost perspective and we forget that it's the journey Not the destination It's moving one step at a time Not all about leaping across chasms to get to the finish line It's a moment-to-moment experience Singular yet infinite Although we cannot control how things happen externally We do have the power and ability to control how things happen internally No matter what is happening around us We have the power to harness our energies responsibly and consciously So that whatever comes our way We are still shining through the darkness Beaming as the best version of ourselves It's not that we don't know Our intelligence is capable of far greater things Than managing stress We just need reminders sometimes to remain grounded Yet light Unified at our core Yet expansive Joyful Yet realistic By embracing the dualities of our humanly experience We can find the middle way And have clarity on our path In this meditation I'm going to offer you an experience To get you in touch With the world around you And the world around you This is an experience to get you in touch with a tool For you to enter the present moment No matter what circumstance you're facing in life It's something that I discovered through my own searching Which has helped me overcome some pretty intense moments It is my wish and blessing That it provides some sweetness and balance for you on your path Find a quiet place to sit And do what you can to prevent distractions Be seated in any meditative posture And allow yourself to be comfortable Activate your abdominal region To maintain an upright spine with its natural curves Place your hands on your knees Or in any mudra Of your choosing And with the face slightly upturned Allow your focus to rest between the eyebrows And when you're ready Gently close the eyes and mouth I'm going to start with a quote by Judith Wurst Strength is the ability to break a chocolate bar into four Pieces with your bare hands And then just eat one of those pieces By breaking down the energy systems we are all comprised of We can gently relax and enter the present moment By shifting our focus into a witnessing mode We may begin to separate the thinker from the observer In this state We are temporarily changing our role From the one who is playing a part in the drama of life To the audience who is simply witnessing Taking it all in Check in with the body And observe any sensations Check in with the mind Allowing each thought To float away like a cloud Check in with your emotions Simply noticing any impulsive reactions The breath is relaxed and natural And you're just noticing how it feels To be seated here in this present moment Draw the focus of your attention to the breath Allow your awareness to ride the shifting tides of the natural and full breath Following the breath all the way from the entrance of the nostrils Down to the belly And then filling out the lungs and chest Really feel the entire body gently expanding and becoming full of air Follow the breath all the way in And then all the way out Simply following your breath at its natural pace Now let's take a moment to scan through your body With a neutral awareness We're just going to notice whatever is there when you check in with your body There might be sensations,
