Can you shrink your fear by shrinking time? On the third day of our discussion about the nature of Fear, we explore the relationship between fear and time. Research in the study of time tells us that there is literally less time the closer we are to the core of the earth. This is why we literally age slower at the base of a mountain than at the top of it. Similarly, we can shrink or extend time for ourselves with our thoughts. In today’s episode, we talk about why we experience more fear-based emotions when we extend time for ourselves, and how we can shrink time and literally lift ourselves out of these low-vibration emotions by raising our vibration.

Hello and welcome back to Unleash Your Peace.

My name is Ali Shoja.

I am your host.

I am a positive mindset coach,

A personal transformation expert.

I'm a deliberate creator and your peace trainer.

And this podcast over here,

Unleash Your Peace,

Is your peace training.

It is the podcast in which every single week we dive into a different topic about the internal world.

We do that over the course of five episodes released Monday through Friday.

The episodes are short and that is intentional.

I want you to have something really bite-sized,

Something inspirational,

Thought-provoking to listen to first thing in the morning that also takes you inward,

Inside of us.

That's where the magic happens.

That's where you start shedding all of that excess weight of this unwanted pain you're carrying.

That's where you find this internal peace that is unshakable.

That's where you start living your best life yet.

You start living from your heart rather than from your mind.

You become mostly vibration rather than matter.

When we live from this place of joy and peace and connectedness to that non-physical,

High vibe,

Potential part of us,

The beingness of us,

The inner being of us,

Our lives don't just incrementally improve at that stage.

We actually exponentially innovate every aspect of our experiences on this physical plane.

We become whole.

We start living our dreams.

We become so authentic and so inspiring that we become uplifters in our families and our communities whether we want to or not.

People just cannot help but to be uplifted by us at that stage.

That is my wish for you because I know that is the key to world peace.

World peace is an inside out job.

It happens when each of us prioritize our own wellbeing.

This week we're talking about fear.

Fear is the thing that has us in its clutches.

Society focuses on fear.

News focuses on fear.

My recommendation for you,

By the way,

Side note here,

Is to not watch the news.

Oh my God,

Ellie,

How am I going to know what's going on in the world?

You don't need to watch the news for that.

I guarantee you whatever you need to know will come to you.

You don't need to watch the news ever.

I have news reporter friends that are going to hate me for saying this but news is the epitome of fear.

It's fear based television.

That's what news is.

It focuses on the thing that has no possibility of ever happening.

When it happens,

It makes it onto the news and it's never the good stuff.

It's never something really positive.

It's always the worst possible case scenario and that just creates tons and tons of fear in people's minds.

So stop watching the news.

Do yourself that favor.

I guarantee you that you will feel a thousand times better just by eliminating that source of fear in your life.

Now fear is created whenever we extend time for ourselves.

Now by the way,

Time is completely relative.

It actually flows at a different rate for your feet than for your head.

At the bottom of a mountain,

There's less time than there is at the top of a mountain.

That's why you age faster when you are on top of a mountain because there's more time there.

You age slower at the bottom of a mountain.

The more you shrink time for yourself,

The slower you age.

So it's not surprising that a lot of meditators look like they are much younger than they actually are.

Somebody who's 50 years old might actually look like they're in their 30s because they're continually shrinking time for themselves.

Now what do I mean by that?

How do we extend or shrink time for ourselves?

When you're extending time,

You are literally extending the amount of time that your attention is focused on.

So for example,

Something happened to you 15 years ago,

20 years ago that is way in the past,

So a long time ago.

So now you have carried that thing from 20 years ago with you.

Do you see how extended this time is?

It is literally this long stretch of time that I'm holding onto behind me.

So whenever I extend time backwards in that way,

I am creating a lot of pain for myself because what happens is when we shrink time,

Our vibration naturally rises.

When we extend time,

We slow down our vibration.

So we age literally slower,

But we also,

By dropping our vibration,

Bring ourselves into the vicinity of the lower vibrating emotions.

So when we extend time backwards,

Hold onto stuff from our past,

That's how we create depression in our lives.

When we extend time forward,

So there's something that is supposed to happen next week,

Next month,

Next year,

And we continually try to cross that bridge before we actually get to it.

What are we creating?

We're extending time forward.

We're lowering our vibration.

We're dropping into the vicinity of lower vibrating emotions.

And in the future,

We are creating anxiety.

Both depression and anxiety are manifestations of fear,

Frustration,

Overwhelming,

Hopelessness,

Unworthiness.

These are all low vibrating emotions that are rooted in fear.

So what is the solution?

How do we get out of it?

One way we can get out of this is by shrinking time for ourselves.

My recommendation is always to meditate every single day because meditation is not a religious practice.

It's not even a spiritual practice.

It is like going to the gym,

Except instead of working on your body,

You are literally training your mind.

Meditation is a focusing of the mind.

It's a practicing concentration.

It's a practice in shortening time by gaining control over your thoughts.

It is our thoughts that keep extending time for us.

If we stay in the present moment,

If we recognize when we are thinking and become the thinker instead of the thought itself,

And then change and alter and modify those thoughts to bring them closer and closer to the present moment,

Then what we are doing is we're essentially shrinking time.

When we shrink time,

Our vibration cannot help but to rise,

And we rise out of the vicinity of hopefully those lower vibrating emotions into the vicinity of higher vibrating emotions like hopefulness and satisfaction and joy and excitement,

Positive anticipation,

And so on.

If you're having trouble meditating,

If you really don't know how to meditate,

First of all sign up for my email list on peaceunleash.

Com because there's a free meditation I'm putting together that I'm going to be sending out to my email list.

So do that and it'll make it so much easier to meditate.

It is a guided meditation and you're going to love it.

I guarantee it.

But secondly,

If you're having trouble meditating,

Oh,

I don't know how to do it,

All of that stuff,

You can also bring yourself into your senses,

Bring yourself into the present moment by noticing what you are feeling in this moment.

And I don't mean what you're feeling emotionally,

But what I mean is what you're feeling physically.

What is the shirt that you're wearing?

How does it feel on your skin?

The pants that you're wearing,

The surface of the ground that you're walking on,

How does everything feel?

And what does everything smell like?

What are the scents that you're experiencing?

What are you hearing in that moment?

Just pay attention in this present moment,

In this intense presence,

What are you observing?

What are you looking at?

What are some of the details you see in the room and environment that you're in that you had not noticed before?

Some thing or object or color that you didn't notice before because you were way too far gone.

Just pay attention to your present moment.

Give yourself a number,

Choose a number,

Say like two or three or four and find that many things for every single sense that you have around you in your environment.

And I guarantee you that too is going to raise your vibration and it's going to provide some relief.

Now I will leave you with that today.

We'll come back tomorrow and dive a little bit deeper into this topic of fear.

Until then,

Check out peace unleashed on Instagram.

Com.

That is where I share my love notes with you and check out the captions under those love notes because sometimes I get a little bit quirky and I end up writing some poems for you.

So check those out.

Definitely.

They're kind of fun.

And if you want to work with me in any capacity,

Visit peace unleashed.

Com.

You can reach out to me through there.

There are some cool things happening on there.

There's a course that just went up.

It's a forgiveness course that'll start in December.

So read through that and see if it's something you're interested in.

But there are going to be all sorts of cool things available on that website.

So bookmark it,

Visit it in the next few weeks.

I'll make announcements on here as well.

And until tomorrow when we come back and dive a little bit deeper,

I wish you a peaceful day.
