This audio is for moments when your brain won't stop and the thoughts keep circling.
Not randomly.
But because your nervous system is trying to track something.
In this track,
We're going to look more closely at what your brain is actually doing.
And what happens when you stop trying to answer it.
We'll begin with the explanation.
And then move into practice.
When your brain won't stop.
It often sounds like this.
What am I forgetting?
What did I miss?
What do I need to do next?
The thoughts loop.
They repeat.
They don't resolve.
And the instinct is to engage them.
To answer.
To figure it out.
To get to the bottom of it.
But the more you follow them.
The more they multiply.
Not because you're thinking incorrectly.
But because your nervous system is still scanning.
Scanning for anything that might require your attention.
This is not the same as problem solving.
Problem solving has direction.
It moves towards completion.
Scanning does not.
It loops.
Because it's not trying to solve something.
It's trying to detect something.
And until your nervous system registers that nothing is missing.
The scanning continues.
This is why the thoughts feel repetitive.
It's the same question asked in slightly different ways.
What did I miss?
What haven't I handled?
What could go wrong.
And answering the thoughts doesn't stop the scanning.
Because the scanning isn't coming from the thought itself.
Is coming from your nervous system state.
When your system is in a state of readiness.
It keeps checking.
Not once,
But repeatedly.
Until something changes.
And this is where most people get stuck.
They try to stop the thought.
Instead of recognizing the pattern.
The thoughts are not the problem.
They are the output of a system that is still scanning.
You don't need to answer the thoughts.
You don't need to resolve them.
And you don't need to stop.
What changes things?
Is when your nervous system registers that need.
Nothing new is required.
So instead of trying to follow your thoughts.
We're going to let them run without responding to them.
Before we begin,
You might want to lie down or sit comfortably.
And if it feels okay.
You can gently close your eyes.
Nothing is required after this.
Nothing needs to change right now.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a gentle breath out through your nose.
Another slow breath in through your nose.
And an out breath through your mouth.
Breathing through your nose.
Exhale through your mouth.
Not to change anything.
Just to mark the shift.
From following.
To notice.
As you sit here,
You may notice mind.
May continue to think.
Let the questions appear without answering them.
Let the loops run.
Without trying to resolve them.
Notice the pattern.
The same themes returning again and again.
Not because they need an answer.
But because your nervous system is still checking.
You don't need to interrupt it.
And you don't need to follow it.
Simply notice that it's happening.
Thoughts appearing without engagement.
And underneath that.
Nothing new is being added.
No decisions are being made.
No problems are being solved.
Your nervous system is scanning.
But nothing is changing.
And begins to register that.
The absence of response.
The absence of demand.
And slowly.
The need to keep checking.
Starts to reduce.
Not because you've stopped it.
But because there is less to scan for.
Stay here if you can.
Let the thoughts come and go without involvement.
Let the repetition lose momentum on its own.
Nothing to sell.
Nothing to complete.
Simply noticing without engaging.
And letting the system adjust to that.
I'll call you back.
When it's time to return.
When you're ready.
You can gently open your eyes.
Not because the thoughts disappeared.
But because you're no longer following them.
