In this Inner Guide meditation, I will walk you through a visualization to you meet your spirit guide, your wise-self, who you can turn to when you need help connecting to your intuition, getting clarity on something you are struggling to make a decision on, identifying the stories you tell yourself and the memories that you need to be working on to help you move forward on your journey to self-discovery and self-growth.

Find a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down.

If you are sitting,

Feel your feet on the floor and your back against the chair.

If you are lying down,

Keep your spine straight and hands resting gently along your body.

Take a deep breath in and on the next out breath gently close your eyes and feel your body relaxing more and more.

Keep your focus on your breath,

Feeling calm as you breathe in and letting go all of the tension as you breathe out.

Notice your thoughts coming and going and let yourself completely relax.

Let any sounds around you fade away and prepare to go on a mental journey.

Imagine yourself in a very special place.

It's a place where you feel calm,

Peaceful and completely safe.

In the distance,

You notice a shape slowly moving towards you.

As the figure gets closer,

You begin to picture a wise being.

The presence makes you feel warm,

Comfortable and safe.

You know it is your inner guide,

Your wise self,

Your spirit guide.

Know that this inner guide is there to help you and to serve you.

The inner guide has a message for you and is there to guide you in the right direction.

You can ask your guide to reveal any memories that you need to be aware of.

What memories from your past does your guide want to share with you?

Ask your guide to reveal some of the stories you are telling yourself.

Ask your guide to remind you of any life experiences that you need to be aware of.

If you have something you want to ask your guide,

Now is the time to ask for this guidance.

Does your inner guide have anything else they need to share with you?

In the moment,

You are going to say goodbye to each other.

Allow yourself to feel gratitude for the wisdom you received,

Knowing that you can return at any time and begin to allow this image to fade away into the distance.

When you are ready,

Bring your attention back to your body,

Back to your breath.

Start noticing the sounds and the smells around you,

Bringing yourself back into the space.

Bringing yourself back slowly and comfortably.

And when you are ready,

Gently open your eyes with a smile on your face.
