Breathe in through your nose and as you do imagine the inhale of a bright white light.

Exhale very slowly through your mouth.

This signals to your body that you are at rest and imagine all of your stale,

Chewed up energy expelled.

Breathe in crisp,

Fresh light absorbing in your lungs.

Exhale replacing what no longer serves you.

In clean clarity.

Out what has expired.

A problem with no solutions is a trap.

We hear so much about how dependence on external validation causes strain yet we never teach the alternative.

If not from out there where do we find our worth?

We have searched from within the body that absorbs the sound of this meditation.

From the lungs that refresh us with air and from the heart that allows us to love others.

We have tried yet the unanswered call for self-love gets exhausting.

Yet from the wholeness that is our existence we have an untapped power.

If internal validation was easy or simple there would be no insecurity.

Why rely on avenues such as social media or romantic bonds for validation if we can get it from within?

Because we are never taught how.

It's almost as if we're not meant to learn so we can be appropriately dependent on pleasing others.

Remember your breath.

Now imagine a time you felt proud of yourself.

If this feels daunting think of a few little moments.

It doesn't need to be your greatest achievement.

Simply a moment when it felt good to be you.

A moment where you felt comfortable acknowledging that you had done something the way you wanted to and who you want to be and who you are.

We're synonymous.

What if I told you more moments like that are coming?

Likely many more.

Moments where you will do things you couldn't even imagine to be realistic right now.

The context is impossible to predict so you have no preconception of when these moments will arrive.

Doesn't that make the future more exciting not just scary?

Now try to think of a time when someone validated you.

Maybe the most important person to you.

Maybe a near stranger.

It could have been a compliment,

A reaction to something you did,

A gift or anything that made you feel important and seen.

Try to think of a time where what was recognized,

Something that feels important to who you are.

This act of validation was not a courtesy or a mistake but rather a genuine acknowledgement that you are appreciated.

We don't tend to say kind things about others' character unless we truly believe it so don't skim yourself into thinking it's not true.

Now try providing validation to yourself.

What are you grateful for about yourself?

Don't forget to thank yourself.

Thank you hands.

Thank you beating heart.

Thank you mouth who breathes our air and speaks our mind.

Thank you mind.

Your unique mind given just to you.

As much your signature as your face,

No one's will ever be like yours.

Your unique set of strengths that no one in the world shares.

And just as unique are your hardships that only you have overcome.

Think about all that you have overcome.

Now how can you cheapen your identity through self-degrading?

You have witnessed your power.

Don't act oblivious to your ability because the world around you finds that more accessible.

Don't surrender.
