Welcome.

My name is Elizabeth and today I will be your guide inside.

Today I wanted to share with you how I start my morning.

I find the morning practice to be a home for my heart.

And once I started meditating every morning consistently,

My life really changed.

I felt more ease with feeling grounded and I was a person that did not feel grounded.

So if you are not practicing meditation regularly in the morning,

I invite you to challenge yourself.

They say that the first 30 minutes of your day will create the trajectory of your day.

So how are you using that time?

Many of us are picking up our phone,

Checking the news,

All of these types of input create stress and anxiety and fear.

So we also have an option.

We can choose to connect to the calm,

To connect to presence that lives within you.

So I'd like to guide you inside on the ways in which I navigate that every morning.

So get comfortable.

You may lie down or sit up,

Whatever feels good for you.

I often do my morning practice lying down in bed and right as I wake,

I place one hand on my heart and one hand on my belly.

And with the sleep still dwindling in my mind,

I start this sort of invocation that I heard from the spiritual teacher,

Michael Beckwith.

I heard him have a conversation with Oprah,

Which was an acronym help and what he ascribed help to was hello,

Eternal loving presence.

So right when I wake up,

I place my hands on my heart and belly and simply state,

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

So I invite you to connect with your eyes closed to this movement of your breath as you say these words in silence.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

As you continue to repeat these words,

Allow the eternal loving presence to fill your brain,

To move into your eyes so that you may see from the eternal loving presence and now allowing it to move into your nose so you may smell from this presence and moving into the ears so that you may hear from the eternal loving presence.

Moving into your mouth so that you may speak and taste with this presence and moving down your throat,

Down into the heart and to the lungs,

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

Allowing your lungs to be filled with this healing presence.

If you have any grief in your lungs,

We give permission at this time for our body,

Our mind and our heart to release any old energies that no longer serve us,

To simply release with the support of the eternal loving presence that's moving effortlessly through your body.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

If there are any specific areas of physical pain or emotional strain,

I invite you to call the eternal loving presence to that area.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

So of course you can continue this practice of simply connecting to help for as long as you like.

I myself have done it for up to 10 minutes before I do an additional meditation.

This also may be a practice that you weave throughout your day,

A pause practice,

At any time by just stating it once,

Remembering that the eternal loving presence is within you and just waiting for you to call it.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

And so after I've spent time connecting with my help,

I like to move into working with a Sanskrit mantra.

And I have many that I enjoy.

When we work with Sanskrit,

We connect with a healing vibration.

For those of you that are new to working with Sanskrit,

I encourage you to become familiar and play with different mantras because they have quite powerful healing effects on your body,

Your mind and your heart.

And today I want to introduce you to one of my absolute favorites.

The mantra for today is Aham Prima.

Aham Prima means I am divine love.

And I love this mantra because I find it works like a loving mother to the energies within me which may be stuck,

Stagnant,

Worried,

Doubtful,

Frustrated.

All of those emotional experiences we have that are often based in fear,

They get lifted up with this unconditional love,

Lifting up any fear to a higher vibration.

So it's truly transmuting.

And I have found myself as well as my clients and groups I work with,

That there is an energetic experience that I often have with this mantra.

So I invite you to join me in this practice.

And I like to place my hands upward,

Palms up.

Jack Kornfield said we can hold on to the ropes but we'll get rope burned.

So let's release the ropes by turning our hands,

Palms up,

Because the hands are an extension of the heart chakra.

So as we repeat this very powerful mantra,

The heart will be nourished and all those energies that need a little love will receive them and then we can let go of those ropes and those ropes can release out of the heart chakra,

Down the arms and through the hands.

And you might feel some vibration.

So let's all settle into this time together here.

And let's say the mantra together once out loud,

Aham prema.

And then let's whisper,

Aham prema.

And now let's repeat this mantra in silence.

And know that if you get distracted by thoughts in your head or sounds in your environment or any activity,

That's fine,

That's normal.

Just come back to the mantra anytime you realize you're not repeating it.

And I will let you know when we are done,

You may begin with aham prema.

So just let go of the mantra and notice how you feel.

Notice your hands.

You can bring one hand back to the heart and one to the belly.

Notice your mind,

Notice your heart and notice the field around you.

Feeling the movement of breath within you.

Allowing the breath to carry the message of this mantra as you move through your day.

So that you become a field of divine love.

And if any doubts or fears arise,

Simply meet them with aham prema.

And you can also greet them with hello,

Eternal loving presence.

Knowing that help is only a breath away.

And we have so many ways that we can work with the challenges that we face.

So before we end,

Let's just connect to help a couple more times here.

Hello,

Eternal loving presence.

Allowing this eternal loving presence which has been lifted up by aham prema to look through my eyes today,

To smell through my nose,

To speak through my mouth and hear through my ears.

May I be a conduit of the eternal loving presence.

Thank you so much for taking this time in your morning,

Which is such a special time to connect to your depth.

From my heart to yours,

I wish you much love.

Thank you for allowing me to be your guide inside.

Namaste.
