Today's meditation,

We connect to our constant companion,

Our breath,

Our presence that has been with us every moment of our life and will continue to.

So often we lose touch with this gentle presence within us.

So let's begin.

So get comfortable.

You can sit or lay down for this meditation.

Close your eyes and take a nice deep breath in through your nose and on the exhale,

Allow your jaw to release.

We often hold so much in our jaws,

Clenching.

And so in this time together,

We can have an awareness of letting go and connecting in.

You can place one hand on your belly,

One hand on your heart and find which hand feels best on the heart and on the belly.

There's no right or wrong,

But what feels best for you.

Once you have that,

Breathing in this position is so healing to our nervous system.

So anytime you feel out of alignment,

You can simply do this.

Now,

Enjoying the movement of this breath that you possibly already are connecting to with your hands as they move up and down with the expansion and contraction of the breath.

And touching into the fact that this breath within you is your constant companion.

It's always been with you and it always will be.

When we feel lonely or in grief,

Disconnected,

Anxious,

Stressed,

Sad,

You can simply pause and bring a focus inward to our constant companion,

The breath.

And we can also connect to an intention.

Intention is quite powerful,

One of the most powerful forces on our planet.

So pick an intention to align to such as love or peace,

Calm,

Gratitude,

Forgiveness,

Compassion,

Love,

Freedom,

Courage,

Anything,

Or pick your own.

Maybe you can even make it a sentence like if you picked peace,

I am peace,

Or I am love,

Or I am forgiveness,

Or if you just want it to be a simple word,

Whatever you choose,

Choose that now.

And allow that mantra of sorts to be intentionally embedded into your breath and into the cells of your being.

Also as you move through the rest of your day and evening,

That is nourishing your cells,

Your blood,

And any areas that feel stuck,

Any areas within ourselves that feel dark,

Forgotten.

We often have aspects within us that are locked up.

And with this meditation,

We can open the door just a little bit,

Bring in some light,

And allow the breath to move like wind through a very dark cloud.

Maybe it doesn't break it apart.

We're not trying to break it apart,

But it is nourishing that energy,

Accepting it.

It's a loving awareness,

A loving presence that's always alive within you.

So allow yourself to just be with the breath as it moves.

And set an intention that as challenges arise inside or outside,

I can connect to my statement,

My mantra,

And I can take this breath and allow the breath to continue to move through,

In and out of anything that feels stuck.

And we can have a moment of gratitude for this constant companion within,

Thanking it for always taking care of us,

For loving you,

Accepting you,

Knowing that whatever is happening,

I am enough in this space.

Let's take a nice deep breath in through our nose,

That exhale releasing anything that no longer serves.

Taking another nice deep breath,

Exhaling.

And on this final breath,

Let's breathe in love,

And then on the exhale,

We will breathe out forgiveness,

Feeling your heart,

Your belly,

Your breath,

Your presence,

And being grateful for this time to check back in and connect with your constant companion.

Namaste.

Thank you this was just what I needed this morning. As I face a new normal with my father, passing away a few weeks ago and my mom’s declining health… There are so many things that I look to right now and the word patience struck a chord with me. To have patience for everything that my mother doesn’t understand , and I have patience for all the things that she needs help with. Namaste.
