Hello and welcome to this guided mirror meditation.
My name is Elisa and I'll be guiding you through your practice today.
So to start with you'll want to find yourself in front of a mirror.
Come to a comfortable seated position,
Maybe sitting on a cushion if that feels good for you.
Whatever you need to do to make sure you're sitting up tall with your spine lengthened and your shoulders open.
When you're ready close your eyes and take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Two more,
Deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Last one,
Deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Keeping your eyes closed roll your shoulders back and down a few times.
And when you're ready start to bring some awareness into the body.
Get nice and comfy and begin noticing how you feel in your body,
Any thoughts that are coming up.
Maybe some emotions are starting to surface,
Whatever it is just bring awareness to them without any judgement or attachments.
Just become aware of your experience right now.
When you're ready gently blink open your eyes and meet your eyes in the mirror.
Looking at your gaze start to notice anything that's coming through.
This might feel really easy or this might feel quite uncomfortable.
That's okay,
Approach those feelings with kindness and understanding.
And see if you can look a little closer,
Really looking into your eyes.
Notice what colour they are,
Taking all of your face,
What can you see?
If you can see more of the body look and see what you notice.
Taking all of yourself in,
What do you see?
Again notice any beliefs or thoughts or feelings that might be coming up.
When you're ready take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Now keeping your eyes fixed on your gaze in the mirror I'm going to read a few affirmations.
You can repeat them in your head out loud or let them simply sink in.
I am enough.
I believe in myself.
It is safe for me to believe in myself and trust myself completely.
It is safe for me to be strong.
I choose to be myself.
I trust my intuition and I know that the universe is supporting me.
I am enough.
Let those words sink in and notice how you feel.
When you're ready take a deep breath in,
Fill up the lungs and exhale.
Let it all go.
Find a slight smile across your face,
Close your eyes and bring your hands to your heart centre.
