Hello and welcome to this EFT tapping practice for overwhelm.

I want you to grab a glass of water and when you're ready find a comfy seat or you can be lying down if you prefer.

Whichever it is get super comfy make sure you have no distractions and settle in.

I want you to close your eyes and take three centering breaths,

Breathing in through the nose into the belly and letting go through the nose in through the nose deep into the belly and letting it go last one breathing in and breathing out letting it all go.

Now I want you to think about that thing that's making you feel really overwhelmed right now.

Maybe it's a really busy day ahead,

Maybe it's stress from your partner or friends.

Whatever's causing you to feel overwhelmed and anxious and frustrated I want you to picture that in your mind and feel where that emotion is sitting in your body.

What shape is it,

What size,

What colour,

Really focus on what it feels like and then I want you to rate that emotion,

That feeling on a scale of one to ten as to how strong it feels.

Ten being really intense,

Really strong and one being barely recognisable at all.

So we're going to start with the setup,

Tapping on the side of your hand even though I feel so overwhelmed by all the things I have to do,

By all of the things going on in my life right now that's making me feel anxious and frustrated even though I feel all of this overwhelmed I love and accept myself anyway even though I feel like some days I'm banging my head against a wall I love and accept myself anyway even though I feel overwhelmed and like life is against me I love and accept myself anyway now take a deep breath in and a deep breath out and for the next phase I want you to tap along with me and you can either say what I'm saying out loud or in your head it's completely up to you but just focus on that emotion in your body top of the head this overwhelm it is completely frustrating me eyebrow I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall side-eye I'm trying my best under the eye but some days it feels like life is against me under the nose I feel so overwhelmed and so frustrated under the mouth and I just don't know how to cope collarbone I'm feeling really anxious under the arm and I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day rest I don't know where to start top of the head I'm feeling so overwhelmed and so anxious eyebrow and the more overwhelmed I feel the more frustrated I get and the more frustrated I get the more overwhelmed I feel side-eye it's like this never-ending cycle under the eye and I wish I could break free from it under the nose I'm feeling so anxious because I have so much to get done under the mouth it's like life is always against me even when I'm trying my best collarbone I'm so overwhelmed and so anxious and it's making me feel so frustrated collarbone I don't even know where to begin under the arm I don't know how to break free from this cycle rest I am so over this overwhelm and anxiety and frustration top of the head I am trying my best to get things done eyebrow but when I look at my day ahead I just don't know where to start side-eye so instead I feel anxious and I end up feeling like I'm all over the place under the eye I try to do everything at once under the nose and end up getting nothing done under the mouth and it makes me feel so frustrated collarbone like I'm banging my head against the wall with all that I have to do under the arm and I really feel like life is against me sometimes and I am so over it rest and I just want to feel happy and more in control of my life is that really so much to ask the top of the head so even though I'm feeling overwhelmed and anxious and frustrated I know I'm trying my best side-eye I know I am doing all I can to get things done under the eye and I know that the more anxious I feel the harder it is under the nose the harder it is for me to get things done under the mouth so I'm just gonna focus on one thing at a time collarbone one task at a time under the arm one person at a time wrist I am just one person and there is only so much that I can do top of the head so even though I feel overwhelmed eyebrow I'm going to be kind to myself today side-eye I'm going to put less pressure on myself to get things done under the eye and just focus on the thing that is most important to me right now under the nose and I'm going to focus on that single task under the mouth I'm going to take that control collarbone instead of letting this anxiety completely take me over under the arm and this overwhelm which stops me from doing anything at all rest I am going to be kinder to myself top of the head put less pressure on myself eyebrow take back control of my life side eye and focus on the things that are most important to me under the eye the things I really have to get done under the nose and instead of looking at my day and seeing everything that is ahead of me under the mouth I'm going to break it down into small manageable parts collarbone I'm going to feel less pressure under the arm and more fulfilled wrist and that is going to make me feel happier top of the head because I don't have to put all this pressure on myself eyebrow I can let go of this expectation I've set myself side-eye this expectation that I have to get everything done under the eye that I have to do everything myself under the nose that I shouldn't ask for help under the chin because sometimes I feel like I should be able to cope I should be able to get everything done that I should be this super person who doesn't need support from anyone else collarbone but the truth is I am human under the arm I am human and there is only so much I can do wrist I doing my best to get things done top of the head and I am going to put less pressure on myself eyebrow because when I do that my anxiety and my overwhelm feel less powerful side-eye I can take a deep breath in and take my day one step at a time under the eye focus on where I am right now instead of racing ahead to where I'm going to be under the nose and find happiness in those moments under the nose instead of feeling like everything is against me collarbone because sometimes yeah I have a lot to do and I wonder how do I even start but I know that I can find a way under the arm I know that I have the skills to get these things done wrist and if I need help I'm going to ask for it top of the head so instead of feeling overwhelmed and anxious eyebrow I'm going to put less pressure on myself to get things done side-eye I'm going to remember what makes me feel happy under the eye I'm going to give myself more control where I can under the nose and let go of expectations for the things that I can't control under the mouth I'm going to do my best as I do every day collarbone I'm going to focus on what is right in front of me right now under the arm I'm going to feel calm and relaxed and happy and fulfilled because I love and accept myself anyway so I want you to take a deep breath in as we come to the finish filling up the belly filling up the lungs holding it suspending that air at the top and then with a big sigh let it all go and I want you to think back to that thing that was making you feel overwhelmed and anxious and going back to that scale we used at the beginning with a 10 being really intense and one being barely recognizable I just want you to see where that emotion sits when you think about that thing that's making you feel overwhelmed and hopefully that number has gone down if you feel like you need to tap again please repeat this practice as many times as you need whenever you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious to find a moment of calm thank you

So helpful to get distance from what is bothering you. To find that space to acknowledge the issue in your body and then feel it weaken. So necessary to do. Thank you 🙏
