The Treehouse.
Hello there.
This is Emma,
Your meditation guide and special friend,
Here to take you on a journey.
A journey that is just for you.
Let us now find a super comfortable position for our bodies.
I invite you to lie back,
Resting your entire body along the earth.
Noticing how supported you are by the earth beneath you.
So supported that you feel like you can lay your head down and back.
It's nice and heavy,
Nice and relaxed.
And maybe you find your eyes are starting to close and then that going to be heavy and completely closed in just a few moments.
With the eyes closed,
Notice what your body feels like.
What does it feel like from the inside?
Maybe you need to shuffle your body just to get a little more comfy.
That's it.
Now placing your hands gently on your belly.
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose and a deep breath out the nose.
Let's breathe in again and breathe out.
Let's take another delicious breath together.
Let's breathe in deeply through the nose and back out the nose.
Did you notice your hands moving as you were breathing?
Let's take another long slow deep yet gentle breath.
Noticing how your belly feels up like a balloon expanding so beautifully with fresh air.
And what happens as you breathe out?
Do your hands move on your belly as you exhale?
Notice your belly for a moment.
Notice it rising and falling with your breath.
Your body is quite amazing.
It knows how to breathe all by itself.
It knows just how much air you need to make your muscles and your brain work.
What an amazing thing your body is.
Breathing all by itself just for you.
Now that we are connected and relaxed,
Let's start our inner journey.
Where wonderful and exciting adventures await,
Places full of magic and wonder.
In your mind's eye,
Notice you are standing in front of a gate.
This gate is made of old wood and is red,
A bright red vibrant colour.
As you step closer,
You notice there is a handle.
You feel the wooden handle in your hand.
It feels a little bit stuck,
But you are curious to know what is on the other side.
So you twist the handle a little harder this time and oh,
The gate swings open.
It's a garden,
But not just any garden.
You seem to know,
You seem to understand that this is your special garden.
You notice beneath your bare feet that there is the most wonderful green grass and it is the most magnificent shade of green.
So green,
So bright is this grass.
You enter the garden and in the middle is the biggest tree you have ever seen.
This giant tree rises high,
High up into the sky.
You can't even see the top,
It has so many branches,
Branches that look sturdy and fun to climb.
Oh look,
Over there,
There is a tree house.
A tree house and it's painted in your favourite colour.
You come a little closer,
It even has your name on the front door written in gold letters.
The door of the tree house swings open and just like magic,
A ladder appears on the tree's sturdy trunk.
You begin to climb up and arrive at your tree house.
You peer inside and what do you see?
It's all of your favourite toys.
You enter and start playing with the toys inside,
Noticing as little birds tweet and chirp on the window sill beside you and a friendly squirrel scampers along the balcony edge.
Spend some time playing inside your tree house,
Making friends with the tree and all of its creatures that live there,
Like the birds and the squirrel.
You feel the breeze ruffle your hair and you get a sense that it's time to go now.
Tacking your toys away with great care and saying goodbye to the tree and its creatures,
You climb back down the ladder.
As your feet land back on the grass,
You see the ladder disappears back into the trunk and the door to your tree house closes gently.
You know the tree and your tree house will be waiting here,
Patiently waiting for you to return once more.
But for now,
It's time to go,
Walking towards the red wooden gate,
You turn the handle and say a final farewell and thank you to the garden.
Wow,
What an incredible place to see,
To find your very own tree house and knowing that you can return anytime in your mind's eye.
Let us take a deep breath in together,
In through the nose and you feel once again your hands move on your belly,
Breathe out and notice how your hands float down with your belly.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Maybe stretching your arms overhead,
Gently blinking your eyes open,
Feeling wonderfully happy and grateful to have spent some time in your magical tree house.
