Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Sām Let's meditate.

Though this meditation has got nothing to do with Ramana Maharshi.

His teachings are all about you don't need meditation.

But you are so used to meditation your mind doesn't settle down because of your so-called past karma samskaras.

You have the habit,

Habitual pattern.

So all we'll do is watch the natural breath go in,

Watch the natural breath go out.

Simple.

We are not doing anything.

We are seeing reality as it is without manipulating reality.

If I make the breath rhythmic,

Is it natural?

It's not natural.

Yeah,

So we are just going to watch reality as it is because that is what is Ramana's teaching.

Be with reality as it is.

So simply watch the natural breath go in.

Simply watch the natural breath come out.

See how long you can maintain awareness of the breath going in out in out in out and see even 10 seconds.

Can you stay with it or do you start thinking about office husband,

Wife,

Child,

You're gone again.

Oh,

I have to be on the breath.

And then you're there another five seconds and you're gone.

It's okay.

Let go.

Come back again and again.

Come back again and again.

Come back.

Yes,

So it's simply a practice of being with what is.

Clear.

Let's close our eyes.

Let's just watch the natural breath going in and watch the natural breath coming out.

Don't modulate the breath.

This is the practice of being aware.

Just be aware.

Be Rude.

You.

See how sharp is your awareness?

Are you aware of the breath moving all the way to the chest?

How long can you maintain this awareness?

If the mind goes away,

Again come back.

Relax the tension that is there in your head.

Whenever you get lost in thought,

There is a tightness in your head that happens.

Relax it.

Smile.

Come back to the breath.

Relax.

Make an attempt to maintain your awareness completely on the breath.

If some thoughts of office or home bother you,

Put them in the parking lot.

I don't have to think about it right now.

There is just the breath and there is me.

Let the entire world feed away.

Just the awareness of the breath.

We'll notice that as your awareness becomes sharper,

Automatically your breath becomes slower and slower and slower.

If it quietens down to a stage where you feel you're not breathing,

That's fine.

That means the mind has quietened down.

That's an awesome stage to reach.

Don't try to again add a rhythm to the breath.

Let it be natural.

Let it be quiet.

Just watching the natural breath go in and the natural breath come out.

Just be aware.

Just be a witness.

Do not modulate the breath.

Just be aware of reality as it is.

The reality of your own body.

Whether the body is tired or relaxed,

You are just knowing it.

You are aware of it.

Whether the breath is slow or fast,

You are just knowing it.

You are aware of it as it is.

Natural.

The breath is the object and I am the subject.

The breath is the object and I am the subject.

I am observing the breath go in and go out.

I am observing the breath go out.

It is so easy for me to observe an object like the breath or observe an object like the body.

Keep observing these objects in their natural state as they are right now.

Relax the body.

Relax the hands and observe that you are relaxing it and observe there is a relaxing sensation moving through the hands and through the body.

Body is an object.

I am the subject.

The subject is aware of the object.

I am aware of the object called body.

The breath is an object and I am the subject.

The subject is observing the object.

I am aware of the breath naturally moving in and naturally moving out.

Now while I am aware suddenly a thought comes from nowhere and distracts me.

That thought is also an object.

I am the subject.

I become aware of the thought.

Let it go and come back to the breath.

I become aware of the breath.

There is a sensation in the body.

Doesn't matter whether it's painful or pleasant.

It takes my attention away from the breath.

It is also a mind object.

I am the subject.

I recognize that it is taking me away from the breath.

I let it go and relax.

I come back to the awareness of the breath.

I am aware of the breath.

I am aware of the breath.

This body is an object.

The thoughts in the mind are mind objects.

Sensations also happen in the mind.

They are mind objects.

Perceptions also happen in the mind.

They are mind objects.

Both body and mind are objects.

I am the subject.

I the subject is aware of the objects.

Can I go a little deeper?

Can I become aware of awareness?

Till now you were turned outside.

Now the subject turns around and looks at himself.

Just be aware of awareness.

That which was aware till now of the other objects looks at itself now.

It's as simple as turning the attention inwards.

Who am I?

Don't look for the answer in words.

We are not going back to the mind.

If you go back to the mind,

You're going back out to the object.

Recognize the awareness.

The subject has turned inwards towards himself.

He himself is the subject and he himself is the object.

It can only be an experience.

It cannot be in words.

So don't look for words.

Just investigate your experience of looking in words.

Don't be aware of any thought.

Don't be aware of the breath.

Don't be aware of the body.

We are past those stages already.

Turn in words and just be aware.

Be aware of awareness.

There is no turning in words and out words of the eyes involved.

It's just the attention.

The attention that was outward going should now turn in words.

Simply look within.

Ask yourself a simple question.

Am I aware?

And then just look within.

You are aware.

Once more,

Ask yourself,

Am I aware?

You are aware.

If you can manage to stay there in awareness,

Rest there.

That is home.

If not,

That's fine too.

Don't struggle with it.

Just relax,

Smile and do the whole process again from the beginning.

You observe the breath.

You observe the body.

Recognise that the attention is outwards while observing them.

A thought comes.

This is also outward attention.

Let go of everything and turn the attention on the one who was observing until now.

Ask yourself,

Am I aware?

You are aware.

You are aware.

You are aware.

You are aware.

You are aware.

Thank you. I am an absolute beginner. Thank you for your guidance. After second meditation- I, well I have no words. I will keep coming back to this. The differentiation between subject and object is a challenge, and this is becoming like a journal entry so let me stop here. Thank you Ekta for this very massive gift. I appreciate your guidance.
