Shout out to my friend Christine Bentley,
Who suggested this meditation,
A caregiver meditation,
Something to help those who give their hearts to caring,
Supporting,
Helping others and feel a little bit burnt out because of it.
A meditation for you to slow down and give yourself the same love that you so freely give out.
So big thank you to Christine.
And if you have any suggestions for different types of meditations,
Or specific themes that you're looking for,
Definitely DM me on my Instagram at EileenRoseMiles.
I have a link to my profile in my description below.
So message me and I will be sure to create what you suggest.
Because without a doubt,
Someone else is in need of exactly what you are looking for.
We are all so much more alike than different.
Thank you in advance.
I am creating these meditations with you in mind,
Always.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Exhale out your mouth.
This is a safe place to land.
It is your time to slow down and care for you.
The fact that you showed up and pressed play is amazing in itself.
I know how hard it can be to take care of you.
This is for you,
My friend,
The caregiver,
The one in your family or friend group who is always taking care of others,
Whether that's physically or even mentally in your mind,
Always worrying,
Checking in making sure everyone's okay.
Instead of looking at everyone else,
It's time to look at you with loving eyes,
With the most compassionate eyes.
Breathe in through your nose.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Allow yourself to soften.
Give yourself permission to receive your own love and care.
Cultivating a gentle,
Warm,
Loving presence within you.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Giving yourself the attention that you deserve.
And asking yourself,
What do I need in this moment?
You know how you're always asking others,
What do you need?
How can I help?
Or simply saying,
I can do that.
I can do that for you.
Bring these questions to your heart.
Whisper to your heart.
I can do that for you.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
When was the last time you really took care of yourself?
Self love is not selfish.
How you love yourself and care for yourself is how you teach others to love you and care for you.
In order to be close with others,
You need to be close with you.
In order to be patient,
Accepting,
And understanding of others.
You need to practice being that way with you too.
Paying attention is the greatest gift you can give someone.
You must learn to slow down and pay attention to yourself often.
Be all there with you.
People fall in love with our souls and the deepest parts of us.
Have you taken the time to really meet yourself and love on what you find?
Self love is not selfish.
Self love allows you to hold space for others even better than you already do.
Self love reminds us that love cannot be conditional.
Can you love yourself when you're tired?
Can you love yourself when you're angry?
Can you love yourself when you're sad?
Can you love yourself when you're broken?
Can you love yourself when you're confused?
Can you love yourself when you're anxious?
My friend,
It starts with you.
It makes sense if you feel drained and tired or burnt out after caring and caring and caring for so many,
But yourself.
Care and love for you first and see how your energy changes.
Notice the extra love and care that you'll be able to easily give because you've already given it all to you.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
The love story has always been between you and you.
You are worthy of receiving your own love.
You are worthy of your own care and attention.
Focus,
Support,
Give yourself this gift from time to time.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Whisper into your mind and your heart.
I am worthy of my own love and I am.
Slow breath in,
Slower exhale.
Just know that this is a practice.
It takes time like any relationship to build the one between you and you.
From my heart to yours.
