Arrive slowly into this moment.
Take your sweet time to soften your gaze,
Closing your eyes if you'd like.
Begin to draw awareness to your breath.
Very slowly deepening your breath.
Inhaling,
Feel the belly rise.
Exhale,
Feel the belly fall.
Really allow yourself to soften here.
Sink into whatever's holding you.
The ground,
The chair,
The cushion beneath you.
Free your body of any tension.
Softening your jaw,
Your shoulders.
Let it go.
Begin to visualize a younger version of you.
See your inner child come forward.
Notice what you look like.
Visualize what you're wearing.
Notice your haircut.
Really see your energy.
One of the kindest things we can do for our inner child is show them a life that they don't have to find and escape from.
To show them relationships that they don't have to hide parts of themselves from.
To show them presence that they don't have to dissociate from.
To show them what it's like to live inside a body that is safe to inhabit.
In a world that can be safe to belong in because they deserve it.
You deserve it,

Imagine carrying this inner child,
You,
Into the home that you live in now.
Imagine maybe holding the hand of this little you and showing them around.
Imagine this younger version of you in awe of how you live.
Feeling the joy and safety in the home that you've created.
Just allow your mind to wander and take your inner child on a journey through your home.
Breathe in here.
And breathe out.
Imagine taking your inner child to your favorite place within your home.
It can be inside or outside.
Imagine allowing your inner child to sit on your lap and whisper to them,
You are safe now.
You are loved.
I'm here for you and I'm not going anywhere.
Now whisper something that only you know your inner child would need to hear.
Now imagine doing an activity with your inner child that you loved.
Maybe visualize yourself doing a craft or dancing or playing a game.
Imagine the version of you right now in your inner child filled with joy and love.
Breathe in slowly.
Breathe out slower.
Feel the gift of nurturing your inner child.
Feel how beautiful it is that you know what you need.
You know what your inner child needs.
May you continue to meet the little version of you.
Heal your inner child for they are always with you.
Only when you're ready allow any visualizations that are still lingering to just float away.
Still holding on to the essence of your inner child.
Notice any shift within you.
Hold space for what's come up for you.
Breathe in deeply.
Big sigh out your mouth.
Be proud of yourself for showing up and doing this work.
Honor this experience.
Know that whatever came up for you is okay.
Feel your entire body soften a little more.
Feel how the ground beneath you has not moved.
You are steady.
You are here.
Breathe in slowly.
Breathe out slower.
Take your sweet time to blink your eyes open.
Gently reorient yourself in your space,
In your home.
Be so gentle with your heart,
Your mind.
