Welcome to this moment.
My friend,
I feel it too.
The waves of anxiety.
I feel the weight of worry on my heart.
You are never alone.
My hope is that this meditation helps you soothe your nervous system and helps you see your anxiety in a new way.
Gently start to turn inward,
Closing your eyes if that feels safe,
And right away place your hands over your heart if you'd like,
Feeling your heartbeat.
Slow breath in through your nose.
Big exhale.
As you hold your heart,
Whisper to yourself,
Good morning,
I love you.
Good morning,
I love you.
And now say your name.
I love you.
Say your name and then whisper,
I love you.
Notice what happens to you when you see yourself and acknowledge yourself and choose love.
Steady breath in.
Slowly exhale.
Drop into your heart and feel the weight of worry.
Without any judgment,
Noticing the anxiety that is present.
Anxiety and worry and self-doubt can take our breath away.
So here,
Remind yourself that you are free to rest here and you can breathe.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Your breath is proof that you are making it.
You are moving forward.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Notice how the acknowledgement can bring relief.
Acknowledging your anxiety.
My friend,
You are not your anxiety.
You are the human that is experiencing anxiety.
You are the one that is aware.
What if your anxiety is an invitation?
What if your anxiety is an invitation to take good care and to love yourself more,
Not less?
What if you are missing the messenger?
Anxiety knocks at the doorway of our hearts and we fear letting it in.
We try to push it away.
Can you allow yourself to welcome anxiety?
Receive its message.
It is time to slow down,
Take really good care and love more.
Breathe in slow.
Let it go.
What is the gift hidden within your anxiety?
You,
My friend,
Are the caretaker of your anxiety.
May you continue to notice and take care.
Softening your approach to yourself.
Softening your experience of anxiety.
Inhale slow.
Exhale.
If your heart could whisper something to you,
What would it say?
Placing your hands back on your heart if they aren't already there.
Just remembering that you can trust yourself.
Rediscovering this relief because you have this deep knowing that everything will be okay.
And maybe,
Just maybe,
You take it one breath at a time.
Do not let tomorrow's worries steal today.
And enjoy today.
Enjoy the moment you are in.
Take it slow.
Take it easy.
Breathe in.
Let it go.
There's no rush here,
My friend.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
Maybe rock your head side to side.
Come back to the room that you are in.
Keep connecting to your breath and let it be a reminder you are always making it through your anxiety and you are held through it all.
Deep breath in.
Exhale.
Blinking your eyes open if they were closed.
Finding a soft smile because you are alive to it all.
Be gentle and kind to your mind.
From my heart to yours.
