This meditation is for you to remember hope.
When everything feels really dark and heavy,
May you remember that there is still good in each day.
Light can still pour in and so this meditation is to help you remember how to stay hopeful and to breathe with your heart until you feel that flicker of hope come back.
Begin by meeting yourself with a slow breath,
Soothing your soul with an inhale and an exhale.
Breathing in,
Exhale.
Gentle slow breath in,
Big exhale.
Softening into this moment with you,
Allowing yourself to just really really arrive here without any judgment,
Just landing in this moment as you are.
Taking inventory on how you feel physically,
Mentally,
And emotionally.
Notice where your energy level is.
How is your mood?
Breathe in,
Let it go.
Allowing the darkness and the light to exist within you.
Allowing so much to coexist within you.
I know it's easy to wake up and allow the mind to drift and spiral right into negativity.
I know the world feels heavy right now and there's a lot of pain and maybe you feel intense waves of anxiety and grief and doubt.
My friend,
This is when you must try to find the light.
This is when you must practice maintaining hope.
And even though not every day is good,
There can still be good in every day.
There is still room for love and peace and kindness and joy.
It all can exist.
Breathe in deeply,
Exhale.
In this very moment,
Can you see the light?
Bring into awareness some things that are happening now or that you've experienced thus far that have brought light and have brought hope.
Maybe it's a message you received or a quote that you saw that you just needed to hear or maybe it's a hug from a loved one or a friend or the way your coffee tasted or the way the Sun came out at the perfect time.
Breathe in slowly,
Let it go.
How can you hold on to hope and seek the light and seek the good?
It's a practice,
Learning how to seek it out,
To pay attention.
Slow breath in,
Exhale.
Can you feel how your energy shifts when you start to just try to see the light?
When you just try to hold on to hope for a little bit longer,
What happens to your being?
What happens to your heart?
Karin Hadadan writes,
Even when your heart is heavy,
Your mind is spiraling or your world feels empty,
At any given moment something may reach you that instantaneously shifts your internal feelings.
You hear a song from your past that ignites dormant positive sensations.
You run into an old friend who sparks a meaningful conversation.
You get positive news that you were waiting on.
You receive a this reminds me of you message from someone you thought you had lost contact with.
You witness strangers embodying the meaning of unconditional love and so with all of these potential opportunities we must find it within ourselves to open our hearts a little bit more and maintain hopeful that these random occurrences can make contact with us.
This is how we allow ourselves to experience the magic that exists outside of our inner worlds,
Ultimately lighting them back up.
Even when your heart is heavy and your mind is spiraling,
May you maintain hopeful that these random occurrences can make contact with you.
Breathe in,
Exhale.
These little things bring light to the darkness.
These little things remind you to keep going.
Every storm eventually will run out of rain.
Keep going.
Hold on to hope.
Hold on to the little little good moments that still happen.
Breathe in,
Exhale.
Notice the you that is here now.
Recognize any shift in your physical,
Mental,
Emotional well-being.
How are you now in this moment?
And may you keep holding yourself through.
We'll take one more inhale.
Let it go.
Exhale.
From my heart to yours.
