Hi friend,
Welcome into this moment.
If you have decided to play this meditation,
Maybe you feel lonely.
Feeling lonely is a lonely feeling.
We think that we are alone in our loneliness when really so many people feel it.
There is someone now in the world that is also feeling lonely right now with you.
And so in that you aren't really alone.
My friend,
Loneliness is a sign that you are in desperate need of yourself.
If you'd like you can take your sweet time to get really comfortable,
Extra cozy,
Or maybe you even pause this meditation and you put your shoes on and go outside in nature.
Take this meditation with you.
When you are ready,
Start to deepen your breath.
Inhaling through your nose,
Exhale out your mouth.
Right away remembering that your lungs breathe just for you.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale let it go.
Inhale,
Really feel the air fill your lungs.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Landing in this moment with this very version of yourself.
Whispering to yourself,
It makes sense that you feel lonely and I am here for you.
Awakening your inner friend.
Feel your own loving awareness come forward.
It's there.
It's always been there.
Breathe in,
Breathe it out.
When we feel lonely,
We tend to reach outward.
When we feel anxious,
We tend to reach in.
When we feel anxious,
We tend to reach out.
When we feel anxious,
We tend to reach in.
When we feel lonely,
We tend to reach outward.
Waiting for other people to validate us or see us,
Acknowledge us,
Or love us.
What if you have been looking in all the wrong places to relieve yourself of your loneliness?
Become everything you need right here.
Inhale slow,
Exhale slower.
What is it that you've been waiting to hear?
What words are you yearning for?
If it feels okay,
Pressing your hands into your heart,
Feeling your own touch.
Feel how your heart beats for you.
My friend right here beneath your palm is your infinite source of love.
And you might feel alone,
But you are never truly alone.
Can you enjoy your own company?
Softening into your solitude.
Notice the difference between I am alone and I feel lonely.
Enjoying your own company,
The sanctuary of solitude.
Breathe into your heart and let it go.
Keeping your hand over your heart,
Or maybe allowing your arms to rest back in your lap.
What is it that you need in this moment?
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
In many shamanic societies,
If you came to a medicine person complaining about your pain,
Complaining of being disheartened,
Dispirited or depressed,
They would ask you four questions.
When did you stop dancing?
When did you stop singing?
When did you stop being enchanted by stories?
When did you stop finding comfort in this sweet territory of silence?
Slow breath in,
Big exhale.
My friend,
Choose one today.
Choose to dance or sing or read a story,
Just for fun.
Or go outside and be in the silence.
Give yourself what you need and take really,
Really good care of your heart and your mind and know that you've got you.
Sending you so much love and light and so much love and joy.
You are never quite as alone as you feel.
Let's take one more breath together and then go do that thing for you.
Inhale deeply,
And exhale.
And then go do that thing for you.
Inhale deeply,
And let it go.
From my heart to yours.
