Hello!
My name is Eden,
And I am a therapist,
Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome!
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations,
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin!
This particular meditation could be used on any area of the body,
But today we're going to focus on the head.
So go ahead and find some comfort in your physical body,
And then gently start to bring your awareness to the head,
And specifically right now,
The scalp.
Just the layer of skin over the head.
And with your awareness,
Starting to notice any areas on the scalp that are holding tension,
That are knotted,
That are tight.
Maybe this can even be cell-sized.
What can you notice?
What can you become aware of on your scalp?
And as you hold that place that is holding some tension,
Just taking a moment to ask yourself,
What would this feel like if it let go?
The only way that your mind can find the answer to that question is by doing.
So starting to let yourself feel that unwinding,
That space,
That relaxation,
Even cell-sized.
Taking a few more moments to scroll through the scalp,
Finding more points of tension.
Asking for their release,
And allowing yourself to feel that release.
And now we gently move our awareness a little closer in to the scalp.
And this,
Of course,
Can be much more difficult to focus on this part of us that does not move nearly as much as our skin.
But just testing yourself,
Experimenting,
Seeing if you can send your awareness to the bone in the head.
And we'll do the same thing here now,
Scrolling through the skull,
Seeing if you can pinpoint any little pockets of tension.
Maybe they're even cell-sized.
Holding that in your awareness,
And then asking,
What would this be like if it let go,
If it relaxed?
And then can you let yourself feel your body's response to the question?
Maybe it even just starts with imagining what that could feel like if it relaxed.
And repeating this for a few rounds,
Just finding tension in the skull,
Even if this feels invented,
Imaginal,
Perfect,
Let it be.
Maybe you imagine tension in the skull,
And then you watch it melt away in your imagination.
Perfect.
Perfect.
And then we gently move this exercise even more inward now to the brain.
And letting yourself scroll forwards,
Backwards,
Left,
Right,
Top to bottom,
Finding little pockets of tension in the brain.
Holding that little pocket of tension with your awareness as you gently ask,
What would Maybe you imagine what it could feel like,
Maybe you start to let yourself feel that relaxation.
Maybe you notice the tie between imagining and sensing in your body.
And repeating this for just a few breaths here in the brain,
Letting something go over and over again.
Maybe it's imagined,
Maybe it's felt.
Remember,
It doesn't matter.
You're offering yourself space here.
And perhaps in time this imaginal sense can become felt,
Linking the body and the mind even deeper,
Even deeper.
Which is a key in and of itself of instilling change within you,
Cultivating this thread between the mind and the body in a multitude of different ways.
Change enters here.
Just taking a deep breath in to the belly,
And a long breath out.
Thanking yourself for just being curious with your own system,
Your own body,
Your own internal landscape.
Knowing yourself,
Trying something,
Experimenting.
What a gift.
And then whenever you are ready to return to the day,
You can gently blink the eyes open.
Welcome back.
