Welcome to this gratitude practice where we will be exploring what it feels like to bathe in gratitude.

At the end of the practice you'll feel refreshed,

Renewed,

And looser,

Just like how we feel at the end of a nice long warm bath.

To begin,

Let's settle into our bodies,

Maybe letting out a couple of sighs,

Feeling the way your body and your bones are situated and stacked on top of each other,

Beginning to sink in to your essence,

Settling into the space around us,

And it's almost like we're stepping into our meditation container,

And it's like the same feeling as stepping into a bath,

Beginning to allow the space around you to hold and support you as the water in a bath would as we begin our meditation.

We'll start by thinking of something that we cherish,

Whether it be a person,

An animal,

A place,

Or a memory.

Bring to mind someone or some place,

Something that you absolutely adore,

You really hold this person or this memory close to your heart,

You hold it dearly,

And allow what has come up to begin to permeate the space around you,

Letting it wash over your senses,

Your body,

As if you were reliving the memory or in that place right now,

Or with that special person right now.

Feel how your heart opens and yearns for this place or person that you just love so dearly,

And when we meditate on something so pleasant and full of love,

It can be nice to sit back almost,

Like you're leaning back in this bath of all the good stuff that's coming up,

And and really letting it flow over you,

Wash over you,

Sink into your body,

Sink into your bones,

And if it feels good,

You can place a hand on your heart.

What is this that you treasure so much?

And as we linger and enjoy that which we cherish,

That which we love,

Notice all the different textures,

Emotions,

And subtle changes that are happening in your system,

And when we love something,

Someone,

Or some place so much that we want to keep it close to our heart,

It's almost like there's a leaning forward of the body,

A cupping of the heart,

Right?

It's like we want to hug and hold that close to us,

And what would it feel like like if we slowly leaned back physically in our bodies,

Energetically through surrender,

And allowed this to really bathe us and heal us and do its magical work on us?

It's as if we're being dipped into the refreshing waters of love of the life force,

Being renewed,

Nourished,

And from this place of surrender,

Begin to invite a natural gratitude.

Allow it to flow from your heart,

An appreciation for all that has just transpired.

Feel the way the heart expands and stretches,

And if it feels nice,

You can whisper or say to yourself words of gratitude.

Thank you.

Feel the words,

The vibration,

The tone of these thank yous reverberate through your body,

Through the space you inhabit,

And as we begin to transition out of meditation,

Taking the last few moments to bathe and dip into these waters of gratitude,

Of love,

Of life force,

To shore up any parts of you that feel deficient,

Any parts of you that need extra support,

Slowly fluttering the eyelids open,

Carrying this sense of being healed and fortified with you to the rest of your day.
