Please join me in this coloring meditation. You'll need at least some pencils, or markers, a sheet of paper or a coloring meditation image. You can either buy in a store or download one from the internet. Or you can even draw an image that you would like to color. By focusing on this activity, we will be paying more attention to the present, using most of our senses, learning how to cultivate patience, building peace and tranquillity inside and around us. I cannot wait to having you all coloring with me.

Hello everyone and welcome to this meditation.

Today we're going to focus and so for this activity you need like you know those mindfulness coloring books or you can also print them from the internet or you can just draw something that you like that you would like to color.

In the page that I have in front of me I have some flowers and I have all my pencils ready but before the beginning the activity we're gonna take three breaths we're gonna inhale through the nose we're gonna hold it for three seconds and then we're gonna exhale through the mouth.

So if you're ready we can start and coloring is very interesting because it gives us the possibility to work on our fantasy on our ability to choose things colors um by doing an activity like this we can really really focus on the present and even though we are coloring and most of the time we have like borders and some parts that we have to color in the fact that we can choose the colors the fact that we can actually put more or less pressure while coloring it gives us the opportunity to understand that you know we always have options available and while coloring also you can use most of your senses your sight your touch the smell because sometimes you know that the colors have a certain smell or the paper itself and then the hearing because when you coloring just by doing that you hear the noise of the pencil that is scratching the paper and coloring i never thought about it but this is kind of like magic if you think you're coloring there's some color transferring from the pencil to the paper and we take it for granted but somebody before us created something like that so we can actually coloring we can be creative artists painters they created a beautiful world for us with their paintings thanks to somebody who before created these options for us i find this fascinating to be honest i never thought about it and while we're coloring we try to clear our mind we take a break from our day we take a break for our routine and as the idea of routine another interesting idea is that somehow we can by this you know coloring and by the fact that we can actually choose different colors and do as we like with nobody telling us which color to pick or we understand that you know that the idea of freedom first of all but also the fact that you know sometimes good to to change and so for instance let's say that you always take the same route to go to the bus or the same route to go to work maybe that's convenient because you know it you save time or whatever energy or you know you get less angry because it does less traffic but or you know what but sometimes you know maybe a day you decide to leave a little earlier and to take a different route you're going to see new landscapes maybe just walk into the bus stop maybe you're going to meet or see people that you haven't seen before or a pet or a house with beautiful colors or particular architecture so it's interesting you know that sometimes you know it would be interesting and good for us to change our routine and be somehow a little creative even in our routine like we make coffee we do all the activities even the chores that we do at home sometimes like why not doing it a little different maybe interesting just an idea for you guys and we keep coloring we keep enjoying this time for us and some people they say oh you're wasting time doing meditation you're wasting time doing this activity or the other activity but to be honest you're not actually wasting any time at all because the time that you take for yourself it's valuable time that you it gives you the opportunity to heal to find serenity peace tranquility and especially in certain societies like you are what you do and you are what you accomplish but what gives who gives and what gives value to your success now you're coloring a page but who said that that's not success who said that that's not valuable at all it is it is valuable for your inner peace and your tranquility your state of mind and you'll feel better and that's the most important thing so coloring let yourself go let your instinct guide you and tell you which colors to be and even by looking at the colors you know we can find some sort of peace and tranquility because all the colors are related to most the colors are related to our chakras so we can find some serenity silence I'm almost done with my leaf of my flower there's also an insect on top of the flower of top of the leaf and listen to the sound of the pencil on a piece of paper and look how creative you are you are picking colors maybe you even drew your drawing and you can decide if you want to intensify the color you want to make it later if you want the color to be thicker in certain parts lighter in others kind of following that the shade of the universe in the shades of your soul the insect is very particular it has a lot of like little little triangles I'm deciding to color all the wings the same color but that's a choice I'm gonna do the top wings same color and the bottom part the lower wings I'm gonna choose two different colors and it's very interesting because now my hands for instance a little numb just by coloring because it's an activity that I don't do very often so it's interesting you know it's like our body is talking to us and giving like some sort of messages and says I want to do it more frequently I don't you have fun so maybe this is a good you know thing that I can listen to my body and do this activity more take five minutes here and there focusing on coloring and grinding myself sometimes from the busy day maybe if you feel like try to smell the paper and see if he smells of anything the colors maybe or maybe the depends on themselves some pencils or maybe more they have more scent than others you can even decide to use markers if you want even to give you like a different texture to the drawing itself keep reading keep focusing when you're drawing if some if one it's part of our brain that's how it works but that doesn't mean that we're doing anything wrong just keep doing what you're doing maybe focusing a little more on your senses for instance the numbness on my end is almost gone now maybe it was also the way I was coloring with too much pressure and it'd be interesting to try to use the other end just to give it a try in a little piece it's so much difficult when you are not you using just one single and we can still do it but it's so so much more difficult to stay in the line but we can still do it I'm giving a try what but just by using the other it almost makes me feel like I'm a kid don't forget that inside of us there's always a kid and that kid was so innocent it was so naive and then life you know made us change a little but maybe just by coloring with the other end you understand and you remember remind yourself of the little kid that is inside you and will always be I'm almost done with my drawing color this I hope you had fun keep coloring and keep doing your finish up your call your drawing thank you so much for your attention and see you next time
