Welcome to your meditation.
I'm Zan Roberti and I'm grateful to be your guide today.
Today's meditation and mindfulness practice is one of acceptance.
And I think it's helpful to envision acceptance really as a nuanced way of forgiving ourselves.
So I'll invite you to bear witness on what is real right now and then better grasp the truth that lasts beyond it.
So we'll begin by finding a comfortable seat.
Just feel your sitz bones on the floor or maybe a chair.
And notice your spine.
You might want to lengthen it up so that your crown lifts towards the ceiling.
Just find what feels good for your body right now.
And once you feel comfy,
Begin to notice the quality of your breath.
Notice if your breath feels warm or cool.
Does it feel smooth or rough?
Does it feel tight or expansive?
And are you breathing from your belly or maybe your chest or perhaps your shoulders even?
Just notice how your breath is in fact moving you.
In this moment,
You don't have to change anything.
You are exactly where you're supposed to be and get this,
Exactly who you're supposed to be.
There's a line that I like to think of in times where acceptance becomes a challenge,
Which is that it is like this now.
It is like this now.
No one can rewrite history.
You can take a different lens on a different perspective,
But you can't undo what's been done.
So it is like this now and that's okay.
It is like this now and now and now,
But now is an ever evolving,
Always changing moment.
It is like this now.
The mind and body can get overtaxed all too often.
When we try to do too much on our own,
We fall into fear,
Anger and stress and that's real.
Maybe the days just keep getting away from you and every step forward brings two steps backwards.
That's real.
And maybe you just feel lost.
Maybe you feel alone.
Maybe you're grieving someone or something that's now gone.
That is real.
It is like this now.
Your body might feel uncomfortable or even downright hurt.
That's real too.
Let yourself be in this moment now.
I would invite you if you would like to bring your hands to your heart,
Place one on top of the other and take a deep inhale through the nose and sigh it out audibly through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Another deep inhale and let it all out naturally.
This is your time.
These are your thoughts and your feelings.
Can you let your breath carry them?
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Let your life be what it is.
Honor that inner witness without judgment,
Without blame.
What is it like right now?
Can you allow yourself to simply be in this moment?
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Let your breath release it all.
Let your hands drop down onto your lap and know that you don't have to carry all of it alone.
Breathe in and breathe out.
You deserve to be heard.
So start by listening to yourself.
It is in this listening you show the compassion needed to heal.
You open up space to then galvanize your soul.
Only then can you share what is most true within you.
So what is real is actually the story we tell ourselves.
It's like the map for a territory that is your soul.
What is true is in fact different.
That's the land within.
What is true is that you're already enough,
Perfect,
Whole,
Complete as you are.
What is true is that you are here by divine love and wisdom and you in fact are that divine love and wisdom.
So feel the truth of your body in this moment.
Feel the truth of the air on your skin.
Feel the truth of that perfection.
Now take another perspective on this.
Just listen to the sounds in your room without judgment.
Listen beyond my voice,
The music,
And then listen to the sounds outside the four walls where you're sitting.
And if you're outside,
Just expand your ability to listen.
Envision it moving yards and yards away.
And we'll all listen to the sounds of our cities,
To the sounds of our pastures and forests.
Listen beyond the sounds of your country,
Continent,
And planet.
And listen beyond to the subtlety of sound waves echoing through space.
And as you expand your ability to listen,
You expand your awareness and your lens of what is real.
Your consciousness is elastic.
You can be in your own home in the perimeter of the known world at once.
Your consciousness connects you to everything and everyone in the universe.
You are one with that which is one.
That is your truth.
Can you sense this?
Your truth is the divine spark within.
The same power that animates you,
Animates the entire world around you.
You came to this real moment to remember that truth.
It is like this now.
You are where you're supposed to be and who you're supposed to be.
You are where you're supposed to be and who you're supposed to be.
Breathe that in.
You don't have to change anything or do anything.
You're already perfect,
Whole,
And complete.
Thank you for taking time with me today to remember this truth,
To peel back the layers and see our collective unity.
May this moment and all after bring you peace,
Joy,
And love.
Namaste.
Blessed be.
Amen.
Inshallah.
Aho.
And so it is.
